Love it! Would be even better if I could change my email on the gamestop account so I cam actually access my points.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for Cooking Mama Cookstar! We're so glad to see you were able to have your account issues resolved.
It's a cooking mama game, so there is that. However, the gamelan is overly simplified and not super entertaining. This game seems like a step backwards from the awesome nintendo DS cooking mama games. If you have a DS then I recommend skipping this switch game and going for the old titles first. If you like to collect games then this is not a bad choice for a couple hours of light video gaming.
Got this for my girls. They play it occasionally but like the mobile game better. They have a switch lite, not sure if that makes a difference. The controls male it hard to play and navigate.
We are very sorry you did not like the game and we appreciate your honest review. We sent you an email to help make your experience better.
Not the best in the series. The lawsuit finally makes sense. Lacks content.
I have played all the Cooking Mama games since they were first released on the DS. Played the Wii games too. I even bought Crafting Mama and Gardening Mama. I LOVE this series!! So it was painful to see what an awful game Cookstar turned out to be. First, there is NO touchscreen support at all. You either use motion control ((wildly imprecise, uncontrollable and frustrating)) or analog stick and button controls. I foolishly assumed this would be touchscreen on the Switch. Nope!! Tons of the recipes are repeats of older games. The "social media" photo part is dumb because you always get a perfect photo of a gorgeous dish, even if you fail every step. Mama isn't even the same. She's gone from sweetly supportive to downright annoying. I'd have sworn I was playing some kind of knock-off/bootleg game and not an actual Cooking Mama title. I cannot fully express my disappointment and frustration. Nintendo took this off the e-store for "legal reasons". I think the publisher botched this game and the Cooking Mama team would prefer it disappeared. Don't waste your money unless you're buying this as a weird collectible due to the controversy. It's terrible.
