Controls are way too loose. It's not the race car type game you're use to, not for everyone.
If you’re into the niche genre of racing sims you’ve got a title here worth playing. High quality sim that works surprisingly well on controller. Goes without saying that’s it’s great with a wheel.
....but too ultra-sensitive to be real. I finish most racing games I buy. If I don't finish it, it's because I grew bored, or didn't find it that enjoyable. THIS, was an example of not being that enjoyable. I was immediately flipped upside down the second I pressed the gas pedal. And it only became slightly less sensitive as I began to better learn to control the car. Not much though. I have never raced in a real Rally race, nor driven a real rally car, .....but I can say with all confidence, I'm quite sure I wouldn't flip my car in a race twenty times during the first race. Every time my car touched a boulder, it flipped. Every time I scraped a bank, it flipped. You have to drive so precociously around each track, that it's not a fun experience. They need to turn down the sensitivity factor about 3 or 4 notches on a scale to 10, because it starts out at 11. I want to enjoy what I spend my money on, not hate it. This teeters closer to the "hate it" side.
Super sensitive controls can make the game unenjoyable. Maybe a patch or hotfix by the devs could help. We appreciate your honest review.
I’ve played a lot of rally games and the concept is always the same… listen to the co-pilot! The visuals and dual sense features take the immersion to the next level. I’ve never had more fun with a rally game. Five stars for sure, can’t wait for 10!
