A Fun, Relaxing Game

You can tell this title had a lot of heart put into it, which is good, considering it took ten years to develop. The pixelated graphics are beautiful and the story/characters are very interesting! There are plenty of cut scenes, but they don't feel jarring, if anything, they add a nice layer to the characters. The gameplay is smooth and I like the twist of carrying the individuals who shoot for you. The levels are fun and differing, albeit, rather unchallenging. Even the boss levels are not incredibly difficult (although they are very well constructed and fair). Don't expect to die frequently or to face multiple attempts at completing a level. I tend to enjoy this game the most when I'm in the mood for a relaxing and forgiving play-through.

I didn't get far in this game before it glitched on me. Before it did, I found many things I didn't like. These include: arcade graphics & style.

great for Old Skool Gamers

My wife and I each purchased a copy of this game (accidentally) for our daughter. I returned mine but have been playing the game since we got it - even more than my kid. It reminds me of the old school games I used to play on Commodore 64, and older classic NES games, too. I enjoy it for the story and the simplicity (sorta) of it all. Graphics look 16-bit, music is enjoyable, and the control and playability of the game in all is just fine. I like it, and although the game may not be a surefire win for most modern gamers, it has already done its job of satisfying this old timer!
