A girl named Rei and Mirai, her little sister, are dragged into the afterworld of Purgatory by an unknown entity.
Scared and confused, Rei tries to lead them home when they are attacked by a terrible monster.
To protect her little sister, Rei unlocks the strength hidden within her. With it, she fights against the dead Souls of Purgatory.
However, this power turns against her. Rei accidentally kills Mirai with her very own hands, thinking she is an enemy.
Devastated, Rei weeps hopelessly at what she has done. Sensing an opportunity, two Demons appear and whisper in her ear...
“If you hunt the wandering Souls in this world and gift us with the tears of your suffering, we will bring Mirai back to life.”
Rei takes their offer and signs a contract with the Demons. Now an Executor of Purgatory, she sets out on the story that shall, again and again, plunge her into life-threatening battle. All to save the sister she loves.

A wonderful RPGIt has a good but sad story. the world is fun to explore and the graphics are beautiful. Only negative is that the gameplay does get repetitive towards the end. It is a great game for anyone who enjoy hack and slash rpg

the perfect emo game.to be honest I didn't know that much about it when I bought the game. Now that I have played I can say it's not the type of game that is likely to get rave reviews the gameplay is simple button mash and the story, background, and characters all seem to have designed by some gothic fettish emo kid. heck even some of the gameplay elements seem that way in short it's all rather depressing.

A beautiful storyThis is a beautiful game with amazing graphics. I didn't even know about this game until a few days before it's release. I just happened to luck out and see a commercial about it on YouTube. It treads a thin line between the dark and beautiful. As you play you acquire 4 playable characters, all while you are on the search for the soul of the sister that the main character (Rei) kills when she loses herself. I like the smaller titles because they have such interesting stories and are often little gems to play. This game is no exception. Haven't beaten it yet, but I'm impressed by the game so far. I definitely recommend getting a copy for yourself.

Crystar and action RPG not to miss.Crystar took me by surprise. I saw it when I was browsing. I hadn’t heard anything about it, but I was not going to pass on an action RPG by Spike Chunsoft. I have only played about an hour so far, but already I’m hooked. The controls are tight, the art style and graphics are classic Spike Chunsoft and the story keeps you playing.
