Great headsetI would love to give 5 stars and the only reason that I can’t is because I’m not a fan of wired headset. Other than that they are some of the best I’ve use. Sound is amazing and they feel really good on your head.

Best headset on the market...after adjusting the sI have owned the Arctis Pro + GameDAC for about 8 months now and compared to the other headsets I've owned I consider these to be the best. I have owned the 2nd gen Astro A40, Turtle Beach Stealth 700, TB Elite Pro, HyperX Cloud II, Sennheiser Game Zero and I also currently own the Sony Platinum. I think that, for use on the PS4 anyway, the Arctis Pro + GameDAC is the better than all of those. Now I can't speak for PC use as I've only ever had it connected to a PS4 Slim, but I think the Arctis Pro is the best headset for PS4. They are built very sturdy with premium materials, they are comfy but not for very big heads (I'm a 7 1/2 fitted and it fits great), they have high volume, crisp bass, very accurate positional audio and a natural, flat sound signature with a decently wide soundstage for closed back headphones, esp with the DTSx enabled.
I think the virtual surround sound is very well done in most games and the bass is not exaggerated like it is on many gaming headsets. The bass is crisp and punchy but not overextended at all. It really shines with highs and mids and I could truly pinpoint exactly where the rabbit I was hunting in Red Dead 2 was. This headset is great at being able to separate where sounds are coming from. When playing Days Gone I can tell where the freaks are coming from and whether the one to my left is closer or the one behind me is closer. The positional audio is excellent, tho the 3D audio on the Sony Platinum with games that support it, like Days Gone, is fantastic as well. I could really pinpoint positions with that headset as well and it's quite a bit cheaper, wireless and pairs perfectly with PS4. If you want wireless on PS4, that's the headset I'd go with. But the Arctis Pro + GameDAC is better in almost every way.
The GameDAC is very useful and if you find the volume to be too low initially then go into the audio settings and set the gain to "High", that will increase the volume substantially. The EQ has 10 bands so you can really fine-tune just how you want it to sound. The "Smiley" preset already installed was actually really good. I started with that preset and just adjusted the low end for a tiny bit more bass and they sound even better now. The RGB can also be customized from the GameDAC - you can change the colors of the earcups as well as the microphone. When the microphone is muted it will glow with that color so you know it's off. The RGB is really subtle and well done imo. The frost blue looks especially awesome.
Now I don't use the microphone that much as I don't play many multiplayer games but I've found the microphone to be quite sufficient, albeit maybe a bit sensitive. Putting the included foam windscreen on the mic helps but then you're blocking the RGB light. Regardless, people could hear me clearly and my voice sounded more natural and less nasally than it has on other headsets. And for those of you using this with a PS4 slim, don't worry you can still use this headset even tho there's no optical cable input on the slim. Pretty much every TV has an optical output so you can run HDMI from the Slim to your TV and then optical from the TV to the GameDAC, which is what I've done. Make sure to go into the the settings on your PS4 and change the output to "chat output" and to "Bitstream Dolby". Overall I love this headset and think that it is the best wired gaming headset on the market. I still think you can get better sound from a cheaper dedicated pair of headphones but if you want all the features of a headset then this is the one to beat imo. Also, make sure to always buy an extended warranty because Steelseries limited 1 year warranty is terrible. You can pay $15 for an extra 4yr warranty on Amazon that covers everything. That way your headset is covered for a full 5yrs incl accidental damage.

Expensive but worth the cost.Wonderful headset! I use it for ps4 until my pc is built. I don’t like the amount of wires that connect it to the GameDAC and into the ps4. It will take up a usb spot if you’re usung it for ps4. Other than that the headset is quality. It feels like it was made to last. My ears are more sensitive, but this headset lets me keep it on for longer periods of time than other headsets without my ears hurting. The sound can get really loud and the retractable mic is a great feature. I also enjoy being able to mute the mic without going into the PlayStation menu. This headset is expensive but I believe it is definitely worth the cost. I expect to last a long time.

The best wired gaming headset GameStop offersI went through quite a few different headphones and headsets: RIG, Astro, Corsair, Bose, etc. These were heads and shoulders above all the others. SteelSeries focuses on both form and and function and it’s evident in the Arctis Pro. The set feels solid and substantial yet light enough to strain your neck. The fidelity is unbelievable and the OLED GameDAC allows for clear and easy audio and visual modification while streaming or playing your favorite titles. P.S. your days of talking while muted are over because the mic lights up when it’s off (and you can choose that color too!)
