There is no charging. It’s not wireless.
Unfortunately, they are not. They are wired and come with a pretty long extension that splits into a mic jack and a headphone jack.
If you have the Original Xbox controller without the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the controller you will need the stereo headset adapter but if you have a newer controller you should be fine !

I didn't need adapter, it plugs right into my controller.
not sure if it will work? But I will tell you that after a hour they feel heavy on your ears. Would not buy them again
