X-Blades offer action-packed enjoyment in fantastic Hack-and-Slash style. Using various weapons, spells and tactics, you must fight your way through many indoor and outdoor levels, killing hordes of monsters on the way. The story, exciting and rich in variety with numerous cut scenes not only motivates you, it also cleverly interlinks the individual levels. Besides the normal monsters, there are also Monster Generators, which ceaselessly create new creatures (and of course powerful Boss opponents) for the game world. Hidden Power-ups and coins ensure that you are rewarded for exploring a level. Some locations can only be reached by bold and daring leap/jump combinations. You will only achieve success in the game if you make use of the extensive system for the further development of the heroine Ayumi - Experience Points earned, for example, must be converted to Skills. There are various Power-ups available to help you as well, like combat techniques, magic, weapon enhancement and teleportation and the right mix will lead to success. Apart from that, the use of skills on the good or bad side also affects the finale. Depending on your actions, two different game endings await the heroine Ayumi.

Hardcore Gamer, Deveroth1's review on X-Blades!Okay, so I bought this game for the Playstation 3, four days ago, I have played a total of 36 hours and got every single trophy available. Now on to my review after I discuss something with the future gamers of the world out there. Kids, (which judging by some of your reviews spelling, I would assume that you are kids, not only that but on the way your review sounded and the details you gave on why it sucked.) A true gamer, or a hardcore gamer such as myself, gives every game a shot to the very end after doing a top notch investigation on the game and this game is not as bad as some of you are saying that it is. These guys did a great job on this game. Let me explain why and I will only have one thing that I dislike about the game. This game was meant to play like an anime style game so it isn't going to have these amazing graphics meant for some of the newer games of the time that you posted, for it's type of game though, X-Blades had stunning graphics and the music kept me pumped in midst of battle, the mechanics were just a little glitchy, mainly just the lock on feature but other than that nothing else was wrong with the game besides these two things that can actually be made as one. The voice acting was good on the first video once you enter the game, but from there on out, it gets cheesy and the voices don't even go with the moment after that first in game video. But that is it for my review, I give the game an actual 9.6 out of 10 just because its my type of game. Oh and remember kids; Stay in school, don't do drugs and kill people only in video games! Deveroth1 signing out.

I liked itThe grafics ARE very good within the whole anime style, the game offers some pointless fanservice, storyline is a bit blend but ive seen worst but the fast pace gameplay makes for it. Its a easy and entertaining game to play occasionally. Like i said, i liked it

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't ever, ever, ever get this game you now why, because there can be two different endings. I hate games that can have two endings, except Heavy Rain, that game is pure genius, but this game is horrible. If you like shooting games that are really good, then this game is not for you, because you only shoot a little bit at a time. The graphics are a mess. The challenge is good, but the game just sucks completely. I don't know how people can give this game a 10 it's terrible. PLEASE DON'T GET THIS GAME. The thing i didn't really get about this game is what was up with the light and dark crap, i mean come on, i know they could of come up with something better than that, maybe. The first tine i got it i thought it was going to be super good, but when i got to that big monster close to the end i was like what the heck. Any was don't get this game.

X-Blades is a must buy!I picked up X-Blades and all I can say is WOW! The game is visually stunning with full 1080p support. SouthPeak did a great job with this one, giving the game a great Anime style look. So far I have only played through the first three levels but crafted so well down to ever little detail. The game is a standard hack and slash with the main character having some magical abilities that you pickup along the way. You run around with the main characters pistol-blades and the game allows you to fight in close range or distanced combat on the fly. But as far as hack and slashes go this one is by far the best graphically and the story that goes along with it draws you in from the beginning. Definitely pick this one up if your a fan of the Devil May Cry series or Prince of Persia than this one is up your alley.
