I bought it because I'm a huge fan of all things Terminator. This is a little bit of a letdown. The graphics aren't too bad. The selections are not so great, and I find the game play a little difficult to grasp. That could be because I'm an "old timer" trying to fit in to the heavy gaming action of these whippersnappers these days. Being in my 40's and missing a portion of the gaming generations, that kind of happens.

Unlike the movie, this game is AMAZING. Not since Terminator 2 The Arcade Game have I enjoyed a Terminator game so much. This game is perfect for those that may have a limited play time due to distractions by outside sources, including time traveling muscle men. Don't you hate it when you are in the middle of action on the hardest difficulty, swarms of robots all around you and your team is trying to push them back, then all of a sudden from the corner of your eye you see a flash of light? You don't want to stop playing a game, but you know you need to since it is late at night and it could be someone breaking into your house. Instead of pausing, you take cover because your nerves are rattled. You put the controller down slowly, stand up and walk to where you saw the flash of light. There you see him, a big muscle man without clothes rummaging through your wardrobe. You tell him to take whatever he want and leave you alone. So he puts on your favorite pair of jorts, grabs your favorite leather jacket that your uncle whom was in a doo-wap gang in the 50's and 60's and places it over his masculine figure. He looks at you and says "I'll be back" then proceeds to leave through the front door. You try to determine the purpose of his visit as you stand there, shaken by the sight you just saw. When it suddenly hits you "OH MAN! MY GROUP!!!" you run back to where you were playing, snatching up the controller swiftly... you then look at the screen and the level is complete. That's right folks, you just got your platinum.

10/10 12 trophies. Basically a free platinum, you get 11 gold just by doing the campaign, and if you play on Normal and hard (only 10 chapters, 4-5 hours of gameplay) that's a platinum for you.

Yes this is from 2009,but the game could've been more than a generic third person shooter.The gameplay is very average with the little variety of enemies and guns for a Terminator game and graphics look poor.The sound is very repetitive,with the loading music sounds like something bumping into metal.The only reason to play this is to maybe to play CO-OP or to get the trophies.

Annoying, repetitive, and dumb, you should spend your money elsewhere, unless you want trophies, and pointless destruction.

Terminator Salvation put us in the game playing as John Connor , the leader of the resistance against Skynet and an army of Terminators , The game in my opinion was very simple on everything , repetitive and poor , the game is so repetitive and it also have some parts then we shoot from vehicles , also is a short game ,you can beat the game in 6 hours , its an easy platinum , but definately its not a great game and it doesnt have nothing new compare with other action games , it was a nice try , because in the beginning the game looked good but its not good in my opinion.

As the title states, I beat this 3rd person shooter on the hardest difficulty in five hours. The game is not challenging. You fight the same four types of bad guys throughout the entire, short campaign. I had low expectations for the game headed into it and only bought it to get ten or eleven gold trophies and a platinum. Do yourself a favor and play it on hard, by yourself not co-op and you WILL get the platinum trophy. It gives you the one for beating it on Medium even though you don't play it on that difficulty. Nice, right? One thing that really bothered me about this game was the sound. The explosions sounded so fake, it was embarrassing. It sounded like a really bad Playstation 1 or 2 game. Sometimes the people would randomly get really loud and that was annoying. There was a good deal of lag when there were lots of bad guys as well. As you see, this is a game that you buy, get the trophies, return it, and get a full refund. It is below average and you will have no desire to keep it in your game collection. Trust me.
