I haven't finished the game, but so far I am having a blast!
The adventures are somewhat cliché, but good. Think of it as Lord of the Rings goes to space. It sounds weird, but they make it work.
The background graphics are excellent; some of the worlds are absolutely beautiful. There are some puzzles that will make you think, but they are not so difficult as to get in the way of the story. The characters are likable and combat is easy to learn; the game does a very good job of easing the player into increasingly harder combat. Hint: your main character starts the game in the ships combat simulator – do a few lessons before you get to the first planet!
I do have a few gripes. You cannot save your game just anywhere, only at certain places. These places are well marked, but are not always conveniently located. As a working adult, I cannot always just pause the game indefinitely. Also, some of the cut scenes are a little long. Lastly, I feel some of the “bosses” are a little overpowered. I can beat them, but be prepared to throw everything and the kitchen sink at them to do it!
Overall, I am very pleased with this game. I would not recommend it for little kids, but teenagers and up who enjoy RPG's would probably enjoy this.
yes: I recommend this product
