Awesome GameI think the developers really nailed this game. Some of the more frustrating things that happen to you during gameplay give it a much more realistic feel.

Far Cry 2Okay I will admit it when I first picked up this game I was skeptical but after the first five minutes of playing this game I was pulled in SPOILER ALERT the main story to this game is that there is a war going on in Africa between two factions the UFLL and the APR there are also these militia men who have been sent in by other countries to stop the war but they make it worse rather than help it the main antagonist of the game is a man know only as the "The Jackal" he is the person responsible for the war between the two factions you are a mercenary that is working for the government and your main objective is to kill "The Jackal" along the way you will be working for both of the factions you will make friends in the game that will help your if your in a pickle you also have a wide variety of weapons at your disposal like machineguns, shotguns, sniper rifles etc. over time your weapons will jam and break so you cant go threw the whole game with the same gun you can also drive all kinds of vehicles such as cars, trucks, boats, and even hand gliders one of the coolest features that this game has is the wildfire when ever a fire breaks out it spreads according to the direction the wind is blowing the only problem that I have with this game is the voice acting (sometimes when the characters are talking their mouths aren't even moving) and the story all your doing in the game is tracking down one guy and that's it there are no twists and turns in the story still this is a great game and I recommend it

Wasn't better than the first one! When I played the first Farcry game on Xbox I couldn't believe what I just played. But when playing this I can tell where turning the other cheek. The story doesn't make much sense and the game has many broken weapons making it hard to kill enemies. Though the graphics and gameplay are good but when it came to beating the game it didn't had much enjoyment like the first one did. The multiplayer doesn't even have any players on the game which dissapoint me alot. I guess I would reccomend this game but I would stick back to the first Farcry game instead of this one.

Simply MassiveYears after it was first released, Far Cry 2 is still stunning. It's still really, really big. To begin, the game has a long and good storyline, about you, trying to kill the weapon lord Jackel and eventually, escape the war torn land. Along the way you use two different factions to get closer to your eventual target. Most of the missions involve assassinating someone, destroying a compound, rescuing a buddy, or causing general, widespread havoc. Most of the missions can be altered by listening to the advice of one of your buddies, people whom you meet and work with during the game. They often call you before the mission starts and ask for you to do another secondary objective. Missions can be played out in several ways. You can go in guns blazing, snipe, use mortars, or go in stealthily. There are also some side quests to do that unlock guns, give you safe houses where you can rest, or give you currency for downing a target. The environment is still the most impressive part of the game. You can use it to your advantage by taking the high ground in a fight, or setting off a fire bomb and causing a wildfire. The day-night cycles and large deserts and forests are impressive. The graphics are just okay by today's standards, but still playable. The only real disappointment is having to drive miles upon miles to a target (and along the way be chased and shot at by the enemy), as there is no fast travel system. At this point there also isn't much of a multiplayer. However, it is still fun to mess around by creating your own maps from scratch (sort of like Forge Mode in Halo). Even after all these years, Far Cry 2 is still an excellent, open world RPG with tons to do.
