Product Description

Follow a gripping, surprise-filled journey as two dissimilar characters form an uneasy partnership in order to survive through a perilous, post-apocalyptic America. 150 years in the future, war and destruction have left the world in ruins with few humans remaining and nature having reclaimed the world. Mysterious slave ships harvest the dwindling population and take them out west, never to return. Trip, a technologically savvy young woman has been imprisoned by a slave ship but manages to escape using her mental prowess. Monkey, a strong, brutish loner and fellow prisoner also gets free by virtue of his raw power and brawn. Trip quickly realizes that Monkey is her ticket to freedom and is her only hope to survive her perilous journey back home. She hacks a slave headband and fits it on Monkey, linking them together. If she dies, he dies and her journey has now become his. ENSLAVED centers on the complex relationship between the two main characters. Players take on the role of Monkey, utilizing a mix of combat, strategy and environmental traversal to ensure he and Trip survive the threats and obstacles that stand in the way of their freedom.
  • ENGAGING STORYLINE - A post-apocalyptic retelling of the classic 400-year old novel Journey to the West co-written by famed novelist and screenwriter, Alex Garland. (The Beach, 28 Days Later)

  • STUNNING ENVIRONMENTS - Explore a beautiful, eerie world of war-ravaged cityscapes that have been reclaimed by nature and are fraught with danger at every turn
  • DYNAMIC COMBAT SYSTEM - Attack and defend with agile prowess using a combination of melee attacks, blocks, and intense takedowns. Use Monkey to overtake an enemy, steal its weapon, then rip the enemy apart systematically or destroy it in one satisfying final blow
  • STRATEGIC GAMEPLAY - Think on your feet! Survey the environment, work together with Trip and choose your path to battle through the perilous environmental and deadly enemy obstacles that await

A nice 3d platformer that retails the story of Sun Wukong in a cyberpunk/naturalistic setting.

Was happy when I saw this on the shelf (even more so when i saw it still had the original box art) and was so happy cause I've heard how great this gmae is for a long time and it lives up to the hype. It is an out there adventure about two unlikely allies that is great is alot of places, cringey in some but overall a great time.

It blew my mind.

When I go in for new games, I always look at the used rack (9.99 and under), and stock up on the cheapos with hopes that I found a treasure. This just happens to be one of those games. I snagged Enslaved for 4.99 on impulse, simply because I loved the art on the cover. When I played it for the first time it was like my brain exploded with awesome. Enslaved was a ride from beginning to end. I adored everything about this game. The characters have a great dynamic, the story line is FANTASTIC, the combat is a perfect blend of simple and challenging, the variety in the game's 'worlds' was refreshing, NOTHING about the game was repetitive, and as a bonus, Andy Serkis is the voice of Monkey! In closing, its really hard for me to find games on PS3 that I can play all day long (The Arkham games are the only others). I was so impressed with this game, and so happy I went ahead and paid the measly 5$ for it. My only regret is that I burned through it in a few days and now I don't know what to do with myself.

NEEDS A SEQUEL!

I don't normally write a review my review style is I buy the game and play it over and over. But this game I feel in love, and it was just a filler game for me middle of summer waiting for the great games to come in in winter. So I was going through the lower price games to fill my shopping basket so I wasn't really have much faith for it. But once I put the game in I was hooked, the story line was so interesting. The action was intents where it needs to be. And the way it ended justs screams a sequel. And when I found out that they are not got me heated they will make duke nuk'em forever but lose a chance on a really great franchise as this one. Now I am the type of gamer where when I do everything in a game I will trade it in either for more games or for the newest game I have on hold. So I am begging on my knee's please make a sequel to this game.

This game is good but could be better. It has a lot of potential as a game but it can be a little repetitive. The combat was very simple and could have been added to a little more. But its a great game to pass the time and you want a adventuristic type theme.
