Dirt is Superior Rally car racing
Big Dogcruxen

This Playstation3 program is good! If you ever raced a car or a motorcycle you know better; this program is by far some of the best graphics for Rally car racing; Australia, Germany, America...some beautiful country roads for Rally car racing. I love this game more than the real.

Super snap

Bought this a month ago and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just one form of dirt racing, but a diverse range. Really stretches a person's range.

Still the best console rally sim
DiRT is a very, very good rally game. It has flaws, but it's still the best one out there. It has almost everything a player that wants a rally sim would want in a game. The physics are very good, the cars handle responsively and you feel the bumps, shattering crashes, and hard landings. The brakes are a little too responsive on gravel, and the grip is a little strong, making long, sweeper corners not something you can hang the rear end out on, but still, the game handles great. Graphically, it's still great today. The bloom effect is a bit strong, but the environments look wonderful, as do the car models, and the damage is by far the most impeding to your racing of any of the DiRT games. If you crash into a stump on the inside of a corner that you thought you could cut, surprise, your alignment will be shot afterwards. The stages are long, averaging 4 miles, and maxing at about 6 (rally stages), and that's about right for a rally game. They're dang challenging, too. However, there are no weather effects, no snow stages, and that can hamper the replay value a bit. But, you can tune every last aspect of the car to your hearts content, aside from the engine mapping. And it makes a huge difference in how each car handles. The game can seem a bit dry or without personality that the sequels have, but this is a sim, and if you want a great rally sim experience to tide you over until Dirt 4 comes out, this is the game for you. (I've raced rally in real life, and this is as close to it as I can get and still have fun)

Rally racing at its best
Great physics in handling , and damage . Sound is awesome and realistic. Great graphics tracks and cars . Lasting appeal good but gets boring after three times around on single player . Don't judge 360 version reviews the PS3 version is a lot better . ( handling physics are excellent )
