Product Description

Get into bone chilling, pressure-packed hunting situations as you seek out savage animals in the world's most dangerous locations. In Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009, you will face raw danger as you encounter the fiercest animals on earth, including lions, grizzly bears, jaguars and more. Accurately modeled Cabela's equipment in the game means the firearms, tactics and gear are all realistic and precise - but this won't always help in the face of an unpredictable, open environment packed with avalanches, elephant stampedes, and piranha infested waters. If you do miss a shot and fail to stop a charging man-eating animal, you will be forced to fight it via a melee defense - but pay attention; it's likely another nearby animal will join the attack.

this games is way too short even with the bonus missions. the weapons and animals is cool but the script is very mediocre. i recommend to get cabela's big game hunter 2010 instead.

The Number 1 Worst Game I Have Ever Played
Mended Flesh
I have a list of the worst games I have ever played and this is #1. I dont even know where to begin to explain how unbelievably incredibly ridiculously terrible this game is. I can not even begin to imagine what the game makers were thinking when they made this game. I owned dangerous hunts 2 for playstation 2 and I thought it was an awesome game. I think that I am judging this completely fairly because I actually like hunting games its not like I am not a fan of this type of game or anything. The graphics in this game are probably the worst I have seen on PS3 so far, I think the graphics in dangerous hunts 2 were better. It took me forever to actually find out how to start the game. Then when I started hunting it was the worst nightmare I could have ever imagined. I do not understand how this abomination got off of the assembly line. I played it for about 5 minutes and turned off my system and almost cried. I went back to the game about 3 times feeling that I judged it unfairly and maybe it would grow on me, well it didnt. The hunting experience is the worst I have ever seen, first of all the game is completely unrealistic and not how an actual hunt would be at all. Once you figure out the controls which takes a long time, theres an ability you can use called hunter vision or something that lets you see where the animals are if you cant see them with the naked eye. Then if you do get seen by an enemy such as a jaguar or something it will run at you and you have to move the controller a certain way and he will shoot it in mid air or if you miss it you die. The career mode is even worse, the storyline of the game is so unmentionably bad I am not even going to get into it any farther than that. Probably the worst part about the game is how the game is laid out overall, the movement of the game is a monstrousity, the main menu is an abomination, the shooting on the game, looking through the scope of your rifle and shooting is probably more realistic on Modern Warfare or Halo than this game. Everything about this game is so bad that I can honestly say that I would have more fun playing an atari game than this game and that is the saddest thing ever considering that I actually like hunting games. In my opinion if someone gave this game to me for free it would cost too much. This is the #1 worst game I have ever played in my life.

Dangerous Hunts!
Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 is an exciting game for the PS3. The supported HD video output is 720p which makes the game look graphically impressive. I have played through a few levels of the Career mode as well as one level from Bonus Missions and was impressed with the dangerous encounters I experienced with only 10% into the game. Lions, tigers, and bears will really make you feel like saying "Oh my," with each having its own level of ferocity and speed that make you feel hunted and worse, that your rifle is useless. I have also shot at wolves and hyenas, but my encounter with the moose proved to be most punishing. If you like games that can scare you and that are realistic, then you should definitely purchase this game. Of course, the game is not perfect and lacks depth, making you at times feel "confined" to the environment rather than able to explore it. The game is certainly not a 9 or 10, but does deserve a score of 8 for its ability to create encounters that really do seem dangerous.
