Short But FunI got this game a while ago and played through it once in about one or two days. It is a short game in my opinion, but it was one of the best games I have ever played! The graphics look kinda cheesy, but that doesn't take away from the actual gameplay of it. My favorit fight was with the robot, which I won't spoil. I would say that this game is worth the 15 dollars it is right now. It has a god of war or devil may cry feeling to it but a little bit faster pace if you ask me. I don't have this game right now, but I am going to try to pick it up tomorrow if I can.

Next Gen to nothingI have always wanted to see a beloved anime go big screen go video game go poo and this is just a perfect example of it. The game play was some of the loosest I have ever touched. Graphics were nice but a bit out of date lets get off the PS2. The sounds of a unique tittle such as Afro samurai should have been a blast to listen to if I didn't have to listen to it over and over and over. The lasting appeal wasn't there and if it was it didn't last. I was so disappointed by this transformation of this beloved anime/ manga creation.

Eh...i didn't even finish it. I fell asleep in between repetitive levels and boring combat system. Fighting scenes last too long. The characters are pretty cool though.

its good...But its a little repetitive and it can be frustrating if you don't know what to do,but if you like cutting peoples in half and fighting peoples with samurai swords this is the game for you.And the game is very beautiful, it has a great scenery and is easy to look at, cutting peoples heads off isn't the only thing worth seeing in this game. And fighting normal grunts in the game is way to easy, and so are most of the bosses, except like kuma he's quite annoying .And the fact that there is no trophies kind of annoys me a little and some times when your lost ninja ninja doesn't tell you were to go! witch is very frustrating, and the groups of men that try to get the head band from you are very pathetic you saluter them in seconds.but overall its a very good game i especially like the mid air battle you get to do its really cool.

This Game Gets My (Afro) Pic For Hack and Slash of the YearTruth be told I went into this game with no knowledge what-so-ever of the show. I was just a Gamestop employee who wanted to play the game to better answer people's questions. That was a week ago. Now I own the game, the show and the movie. The game, for a hack and slash, is actually pretty good! The controls are fairly standard when you start up. There's two sword buttons, a kick and a jump and you use them like crazy. But, if you're interested in adding more there's a really good block and perry system where, if done correctly, opens up whole new move sets. There's also the focus button which slows down time allowing you to aim and pull off a charged slice where you actually control, not only the strength, but exactly where on the enemy you want to cut via a white line that works like a laser sight. There REALLY needs to be trophies though as the first time I figured out how to flick a sniper's bullet off the edge of my sword back through the sniper's head I felt like I deserved a pat on the back since the game tells you you can do it by hitting X (it's SO much more then just X). The story is really good as well. It's your traditional anime/manga fair where you're a guy trying to be number one of whatever it is you are. While this seems to be the same recycled plot of kids shows like Pokemon and the like this story actually shows a dark side to the whole ladder climbing process. My BIGGEST qualm though is the platforming. While in some parts it's ok, there's some parts, especially when you battle the Empty 7 where the game glitches like mad and you remember that they had to cut down on design to make this game work on the 360 as well. You'll jump from one platform to another only to find your guy stop half way because you knicked the wall and he got stuck in it. Or you're be wall jumping back and forth and out of no where he'll jump towards the camera instead of to the left. Weird things like that. The biggest surprises, in my opinion, were: 1) Ninja Ninja and Kuma, who looked REALLY corny in the booklet, turned out two be my favorite two characters. 2) There's topless female enemies. That just threw me off. 3) The game follows the story of the manga and the show but at the same time events play out different enough where it'll be new for games who have seen the show first. Definately a game worth picking up and trying out.

Good Enough for MeAfro Samurai the game is a lot better than most video games that are made about movies and television shows. The creators of this game definitely put some effort into this, but, they could've done better. The difficulty of certain areas of the game seem out of place considering just how much more difficult they are compared to the rest of it. And the game really is little more than hack and slash with a few things sprinkled in here and there. With the flaws that be in this game as apparent as they are, they still won't stop a big Afro Samurai fan or even a casual gamer from enjoying themselves. If you're a game collector or one of the said major Afro Samurai fans, buying the game now when its new is for you. But for just about everyone else, wait a while till the price drops and try to find yourself a used copy that's in pretty good shape. Overall Grade: C+
