Command a group of warriors as Serenoa, heir of House Wolffort, in a tangled plot where your decisions make all the difference. When faced with truly momentous decisions, your advisors will weigh in by casting their votes on the Scales of Conviction. Persuade them before their vote is cast to help forge you own path ahead. Remember, your allies and decisions can change the fate of Norzelia itself.
Control multi-tiered battlefields to strategically secure victory
Finding the best location in turn-based battles can tip the tide of combat in your favor. Position units on higher ground to take control of the battlefield and gain the advantage. You can also flank enemies on both sides, then strike from behind for a powerful follow-up attack. Elemental chain reactions are also an important part of combat. For example, use fire to melt icy terrain, then use lightning to electrocute it. See sparks fly in stunning HD-2D visuals as you shock any opponents sanding in the water!
Bolster your convictions and discover multiple paths through the story
Each decision you make will bolster one of three convictions—Utility, Morality, or Liberty—which together make up Serenoa’s worldview and influence who will join you and lend their talents to your army. Each party member has a range of distinct skills, so consider which convictions might attract certain characters. Play through the game multiple times to see how other choices impact the adventure.

I'm glad that Square-Enix has brought this state side. It is a GEM of a game that is worth playing. If you have been wanting to try out an RPG this is a great game to start off with! I can't recommend this enough.

It's fantastic, and holds a high level of respect for it's story, music and gameplay. It plays very much like final fantasy tactics or tactics ogre with a splash of fire emblem. Very story heavy, but it has an auto play feature which is defiantly needed. The story is well written and the voice acting is very good as well, though like I said, very story heavy. And all of your choices matter in the story progression and the allies you obtain, though this game does have a NG+ so you can see the other paths more clearly after you've beaten the game. Another feature this game has is a training area rather than random battles (for those grinders out there) that provide a decent challenge for numerous scenarios. Though one thing this game is lacking is the character customization area, there's none really. You'll find your basic d&d trope characters that you can outfit with two accessories (which are beneficial) but that's it, not game breaking but there ya go. Anywho, I highly recommend this title if you're a tactics gameplay enthusiast. Story: 10 Fighting Mechanics: 8 Customization: 4 Repeatability: 9

this was my introduction to strategy rpg....i FREAKING LOVE that it is not just one way you can play the game. love the different outcomes. have put over a 100 hours and i keep wanting to try other strategy rpg games but....THIS IS IT. just got my attention from day one :D

One of square enix best titles in a long time. Good strategy with a very in depth storyline.
Fun strategy game similar to final fantasy tactics. Alot of dialog in the beginning that seems to matter.
Some might shy away from heavy dialogue, but any fan of Strategy or RPG games should definitely give it a try! Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for your review!
