The game definitely launched with some technical issues, but the story and refinements to gameplay over the first title more than make up for them. Patches have come out and helped the framerates a ton and the director took the time to rewrite a scene that did not reflect his intention in regards to a trans character. A great creator and a fantastic time

This game advertises itself as an open-world mystery, but fails on both fronts. The MC leads the player very obviously to all conclusions, such as “it could only be —-!” You can walk around, sure, but you’re not allowed to explore outside of designated areas. Every single line is voice acted, and there’s nearly three times as many cutscenes as there are playable scenes, so you end up with a game that feels like watching a really awful movie. For an M rated game, all the lines are delivered in an almost comically over dramatic way that throws the whole atmosphere off. Ultimately, I played more than an hour of just pressing the A button a million times for some lackluster graphics and even worse mystery. Do not recommend.

Despite all the reviews of it not being a great game. Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise still retains its Twin Peaks eques feel and digs deep into a new story arc
