The game has it all, magic, time travel, and many NPCs to interact with. You do not get overwhelmed with new characters and challenges early on. The new characters and challenges come at appropriate intervals, challenging enough to keep you interested but not too much to make you give up early.
It's a fun game with a very pretty art style. We all need a game like this to sit back and just enjoy a fun time.
I love JRPGs and ARPGs. The voice acting was jarring at times as well. Where this game thrives is the hand drawn artwork and the puzzle and the play with time. Although simplistic, a great idea and the makers have so much to be proud of. This is a game that so many ideas can be birthed from and should-I hope-be built upon in the future in other games. If you love old school JRPGs then this is an amazing homage and you’ll likely enjoy it.
Few hours in and I'm hooked. unique art style and interesting game mechanics have kept me interested.
Load times reminiscent of the previous generation. Great art and unique spin on the over world.
I ordered a new copy of this game and received just the game card tossed into a ripped disc sleeve with a stick saying new printed on it. It is very disheartening to not even receive a case to put the game into since this leaves me with no way of storing it with my other switch games. I plan to think twice before buying switch games from Gamestop again.
