Awesome
This is such a fun, fast paced, and silly kart racer. I didn't play the original but I do love the Diddy Kong Racing format of this game.
Let's be honest, this is basically Mario Kart Wii hd. Not bad, but items are frustrating if your playing adventure mode. But there's tons of multiplayer options! If you have MK8 on Wii u pick this one up.
This was a game I grew up playing and loved. The normal adventure mode is fun (Play Normal, Easy is a give away), but online play is a dumpster fire of an experience. Using skins to boost your earnings at the end of matches makes every online game seem the same with everyone being the same person. If you come in 4th, you can't even finish the race most of the time. The race instantly ends 30 seconds after 1st place crosses the line, which is terrible. If you are getting this game to play the classic adventure mode and cups, you are in for a treat. But don't get your hopes up with Online play.
