Sadly, no. I wish you could but then there'd be no way to catch the Pokemon (unless you try throwing the controller for the motion controls) cause of the new mechanic. While I have yet to play the game I do hear great things about it though, so it may be worth it.
Yes, You Will Need A joycon, I think.
In a way. If you shake a second joy con it'll drop your second player in as a support trainer. You can run around with the main first player, but you can't pick up objects or interact with anything. You can, however, help catch pokemon which provide extra bonuses and a higher success rate, and you can also battle with the first player as well. I've been playing as a second player to my boyfriend's copy, and so far I haven't been able to fight alongside him when it comes to matches where you face two opponents at one time, and I haven't been able to follow him around and fight with him in water areas that involve a secret technique you learn in the game to traverse. That's the only issues we've had so far with it, but we love playing it together! So much he actually bought me my own switch and Pikachu copy of the game and everything. Made me a pokemon fan over night hahaha.
Yes but to catch pokemon you tap a and not shake the joy con
It does not.
I'm pretty sure there is no amiibo support in lets go Eevee / Pikachu.
It’s only available on Nintendo Switch I’m afraid
