Product Description

This Japanese RPG follows the story of the eponymous anime and manga, and adds brand new content! Alongside dungeon-crawling elements, a real time action RPG combat and date events, this is coming for the first time in the West in English to consoles and PC! Enter the fantasy world of Orario, where gods live amongst humans, and protect them in their Familia. Experience the tale of Bell Cranel, a young boy discovering his abilities, and Ais Wallenstein, a first-class swordswoman. As you enter the Dungeon and defeat monsters, choose your talents and items to hone your skills and become the greatest adventure in the land!
  • Experience the Anime - Follow the story from the beginning and discover exclusive new content in the game!
  • Two Perspectives - You can discover Bell Cranel's story, but also play as Ais Wallenstein depending on the chapter, each with their own skillsets!
  • Story Mode - Enjoy an extensive story with unique content and side quests!
  • Welcome to Orario - Enter a city where the gods have decided to come live on Earth and give challenges to its inhabitants.
  • Become Friends with Gods - Be part of a Familia and serve a resident deity who protects you and helps you grow as an adventurer.
  • Explore the Dungeon - As an adventure, it's up to you to defeat monsters in the dangerous labyrinth created by the gods.
  • Level Up - Through an extensive skill tree and shops, customise your character's playstyle with weapons and crafted items in true RPG fashion!
  • Extra Dungeons - Once the Story Mode is over, enjoy randomly-generated additional dungeons for extra replayability!
  • Date Events - Deepen your relationships and raise your intimacy with your friends by going on dates as Bell or Ais!
  • Create Your Team - As you meet new friends, bring them into the dungeon to support you in combat.

Q: is this just a more fleshed out version of the mobile game?

Dragoons 1 year ago
Best Answer :

No. The games are quite a bit different, the mobile game is gacha game with turn based combat while this game on switch is more of a fighter game in a somewhat similar style to the Pokemon rumble games(not exactly the same of course but closer to that general genre) with RPG leveling elements and a more intimate tie to the story of the original story of the anime. I don't know if it covers season 2 though.

The anime is way better than the game itself

I got this game a few months ago cause I liked the anime. When I played it for a few hours when I realized how awful it was. You don't gain levels in the dungeons you only get skill points. There is a certain part where you can't increase your stats when you reach a boss. It's really bad especially when you face strong foes. I got tired of it and I finally traded it in. The anime is way better than the game itself!

I got the game the day of release, honestly I binged the anime a week before the game came out, and so far its pretty similar to the anime. The game play is nice and it feels like a good dungeon crawler.

Definitely enjoy seeing some of the gameplay I've seen online. Honestly I love RPG games like this that have you in chibi form and running around. I believe one of the comments did say something about it not being an English but who really cares you play for the fun and the experience of going on great adventures. I'm just hoping I get some really fun times out of it

This game would do so much better in the States if it had Eng audio instead of Japanese. It will be no different then the sword art online games and those who dont speak or know Japanese will be lost. the subtitles are super small so if you are trying to focus on game play you will miss vital information you need to know.
