Really good product over all.

The gotcha works amazingly well. The one issue I have with this product is when I deselect catching Pokémon and leave on poke stops is that the device prioritizes targeting Pokémon and will not collect a poke stop unless there are no Pokémon available.

An affordable device, but things to consider.

This is a must have for the serious player that is leveling up. I am at 42 and started with this at 39. Things you need to know. The bracelet attachment is of poor design. The device will not fit into it and it is designed for a small child (most go players are older). My solution, I bought a pair of generic black bracelets, they make it look like a fitbit and they cost only a few dollars. I have a friend that has a necklace holder for hers and keeps it on a lanyard with an ITag, they are tiny and you can lose them. It can be tricky to sync up with the phone, download the Go-Tcha app and follow directions, it took a few times for me to get it to work. Once it is correctly attached, hit the logo on the GO screen ONCE and tap the Go-tcha it until the Tablet icon appears and it should connect quickly. If you hit the Icon twice on the phone it connects and disconnects and give the appearance it won't connect. Make sure the boxes are checked on the Go-tcha that you want. Your options are new Pokémon, previously caught Pokémon and Pokestops. I use X on vibration for battery life and leave the tablet one checked. In a half hour I can catch between 75-150 Pokémon moving in a populated area, and it will hit Pokestop if you are riding in a car. It only uses red balls, and tosses once, so you get credit for first catch and Pokémon caught in XP if you caught one and 25 xp if you missed. You will need LOTS of red balls. I can go through 300+ on a serious day. You will need to research how to get friends to trade gifts. You can open 20 gifts a day and 40 on special events. I keep a running total of 65 friends, and usually recieve an average 20+ gifts a day. I am also next to an area with 20 stops that refresh every 5 minutes, so this is a big help keeping up on red balls. You will also need to buy lots of bag space. I have over 3000 bag space, keep a Pokémon in the Gym 8 hours every day for 50 gold, or invest in extra bag space. You can also Raid, Rocket Battle and catch Pokémon or Shiny check and the Go-tcha will keep on catching. The only downfall is it may get ahead of you on Spotlight hours or Community Days when you want to use Pinap Berries to get extra candy. Using this just last night I caught over 125 Meditite, traded with my friend until I got a Lucky 99% GL, and was able to evolve and power it up to 1499, no easy task without this. Yes this device is very helpful if you are serious about Playing and Battling

Works as expected but broke :(

This works as expected, but it’s a little fragile. The top half of mine broke off when trying to remove it from the wristband, so just push from the back instead of trying to grab from the front. Others have talked about connectivity problems, and I experienced some minor connectivity problems where it would disconnect from my iPhone when I left a wifi network and switched to data, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. If you have problems with reconnecting you can just forget the device in your Bluetooth settings and reconnect like it’s a new device. So not a perfect experience but it made spinning poke stops while I sat at my desk working a breeze.

It is a fickle thing that will charge only on a whim but you will buy a dozen of them because they are very effective when they work.

It’s really neat, the only thing is you need is plenty of inventory space and Pokémon space for the gotcha to be able to catch a lot without having to stop. Also you can choose it to just catch or just spin poke stops or both!

Q:
Does this base its location on your phones location?
Spooferking234 years ago
A:
If you’re asking if you can spoof and still use it the answer is yes. You could sit at home in Kansas and spoof to Japan  and use it without issue. It’s  game location, not phone.

Q:
Can you turn on the auto spin without turning on the auto-catch?
Westy184 years ago
A:
Yes, you do it on the Go-tcha app once it has synced and checked for updates. I only use the autospin feature.

Q:
Do you have to have the Pokemon Go app actively running for the Go-Tcha to work?
direidx3 years ago
A:
You can open the app, sync the device then switch to another app or put your phone back in your pocket without "leaving it open". It's definitely a step up from having to leave the app on the screen, even if you use battery saver and turn the phone upside down. One problem I personally have is that periodically I have to re-open the app and re-sync. It looks like if I open and sync, then switch to a few other apps like Facebook, Instagram, maybe a game or whatever, my phone turns off Pokemon GO to reclaim RAM or something (which de-syncs it.)
