Q: Can I bring my personal switch to gamestop, and callibrate the joycon there? I want to make sure it 100% works.

For a preowned joy con? I can't imagine why not. Just go when they aren't crazy busy and be polite and they should have no problem letting you snap it onto your switch to test. In case you didn't know, there is a place in the switch settings where you can test controller input so you can test every button for functionality. Even if you buy and something ends up being wrong after all, remember that there is a 7 day return policy on preowned for a full refund and 30 days for a defective exchange. Hope that helps :)

    I seem to go through these joycons annually, so i figured why not try a pre-owned one and for the most part its worked really well! Every once in a while it needs to be recalibrated (about every other week or so), but no complaints so far

    Controller appeared new and fine when purchased. After a few weeks of my son using it, I noticed a growing frustration. I assumed it was because he is 5 and was upset about losing in his games. It wasn’t until later that I noticed a major defect in the controller. It controls and makes the characters in my son’s game walk and move when he’s not touching it (as if a button is being pushed or stuck). You can hear the clicking sound too as if someone is pushing buttons while it’s untouched.

    I purchased/ordered a new joy con but received a refurbished one. My son immediately started using it and it’s been working fine so I didn’t feel like returning it. But paying for extra for the new and getting used is frustrating!
