Pokemon Platinum Version - Nintendo DS

Features

  • Distortion World: As the story unfolds, players will encounter the mysterious new Distortion World, an area unlike any seen in a Pokemon video game before. The normal rules of time and space don't apply to this world, allowing the area to push the limits of the Pokemon game world. Players leap from pieces of land suspended in midair, walk sideways and even upside-down. The Distortion World, where the powerful Giratina resides, is somehow connected to the regular Pokemon world.
  • The Battle Frontier: The Battle Frontier area (first introduced in Pokemon Emerald) has been added to Sinnoh, containing five new Battle Facilities for Trainers to challenge, each with its own special rules. Each facility is run by one of five new Frontier Brains (characters that are similar to Gym Leaders). The new battle formats in each facility allow players to challenge themselves in new ways.
  • Wi-Fi Plaza: Players can explore the new Wi-Fi Plaza a virtual Pokemon amusement park filled with activities, including three new mini-games where up to 4 players can compete at once. Up to 20 players from around the world can connect together in the Wi-Fi Plaza to experience games, take part in parades and even see a fireworks show.
  • Enhanced Storyline: New characters add to the story, including Charon, a new Commander of the villainous Team Galactic (who is suspicious even by their standards) and an undercover detective, codenamed Looker, who is in pursuit of Team Galactic. Looker will help you throughout your adventure. Team Galactic has a new scheme they've turned their sights on all three Legendary titans of Sinnoh Dialga, Palkia and Giratina (all three Pokemon appear together in this game for the first time).

Fake vs Authentic

The game works great and is authentic this time. I say that because I bought this game from GameStop before and didn’t realize it was fake and assumed the cartridge was getting old. There are differences in the label and text on the back you can spot and the fake was prone to freezing. The cartridge I have now works great. For those wanting to know with the fake cartridge label does not look as bright as the real thing. The Essen label is vertically longer and the E thinner. The Nintendo logo near is white on the inside rather than showing red streak from the label art behind it. The NTR number and Nintendo logo on the back of the cartridge is larger and thinner. Be careful buying used games and enjoy Pokémon Platinum

I got a fake copy twice! I went ahead and returned it to get something else. The store helped me out and I got a full refund.

I looked up how to tell the difference between a real and fake copy, and I’m happy to say… it’s the real deal! Works great. Started right up, and I’ve been playing it ever since. Tell Vic I’m sorry for erasing his save file…

Q:
Does this come with the original case?
Tyler6273 years ago
A:
For the most part, it will just be the game itself. A store might have a case that also comes with it, but this is a very rare chance of finding.

Q:
Is it in the original case??
LobsterBoi99422 years ago
A:
lol Nope. For years GameStop threw away all the cases to GameBoy advanced and GameBoy DS games. So much that finding a case for these games is very, very rare.

Q:
is this a fake game?
jack102232 years ago
A:
No. This is the third “spin off” game that directly follows Pokémon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond, taking place in the same region but having a slightly different storyline and list of capturable  Pokémon . It was released in September 2008 and is a licensed Game Freak and Pokémon product.
