Product Description
Pauline, is that you? Plenty of surprises await in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.
It seems folks love those Mini Mario toys. So much so that the Mario Toy Company has expanded the line to include Mini Donkey Kong, Mini Toad and Mini Peach figures to the series. With all these toys bringing him more money than he knows what to do with, Mario decides to fulfill his lifelong dream and open a theme park called Super Mini Mario World.
The opening-day crowd includes Pauline and Donkey Kong, who immediately falls head over heels for the lovely lass. The proud ape tries to show off his Mini DK toy to Pauline, but she picks the Mini Mario toy over his and the jealous Donkey Kong becomes enraged. He smashes the displays, destroys the toys and takes Pauline to the top floor of the amusement park. Players must find Pauline and save the day.

This game ultimately changed the formula for the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series as a whole, changing it from originally being a puzzle platformer game to just focusing on more of the puzzle aspect than platforming. You're no longer controlling Mario like in the first game, instead you control wind up toy versions of Mario known as mini Marios, which changes a lot the first game had. One of the more difficult and challenging Mario vs. Donkey Kong games in the series, in my opinion. It has pretty addicting gameplay and the level design is really clever. Also the controls for this game are alright, but it still frustrates me at some points while playing, especially in later levels. It's also the only game in the series where you can directly control the mini Marios and their movement options with your stylus across the different levels it provides the player through. For example, using your stylus you can make the mini Marios jump, turn around, stop in place, etc. Although it's far from my favorite installment into the series, I still think the game's worth a shot playing through if you're a fan of the series.
More of the puzzles you saw in the first one. It's still good too!
