Ryu Hayabusa, the iconic super ninja of the Ninja Gaiden franchise, returns to the Sigma series in NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 2 PLUS. Ryu must hunt down the Demon Statue that has been stolen by the wicked Black Spider Ninja Clan to prevent the resurrection of the evil Archfiend. From Tokyo to New York, follow Ryu as he encounters vicious enemies and acquires an extensive assortment of ninja weaponry along the way.
Players will be able to experience the story in a whole new light utilizing the PlayStation® Vita's distinct features. For starters, NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 2 PLUS boasts a graphical quality that exceeds the original Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, which is showcased in stunning detail via the Vita's astounding OLED screen.
NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 2 PLUS elevates the experience to dizzying heights by implementing an intuitive control system using the front and rear touch screens and the six-axis motion controls of the PS Vita. Using the front panel and six-axis, players can access a precise firing mode to take aim at enemies while launching projectile weaponry as well as trigger special Ninpo attacks. In Tag Mission, players can execute devastating “Combined Ninpo” attacks utilizing the front touch screen and rear touch pad.
Nonstop Carnage: The “Hero” Play Style makes its comeback! Once again, new and casual players can trigger powerful and exhilarating attacks and advance through the game. If selected, this play style activates automatically when the player is low on health.
Life-or-Death Race: Players compete with enemies at a breakneck super-high speed to be the first to reach the end goal in the all-new “Ninja Race” mode. Pick up items and cut down those who stand in your way to further enhance your speed and attack power.
More Deadly Female Action: Ayane, Rachel, and Momiji take center stage in newly designed costumes. The unique new “Tag Mission” mode allows players to switch between their two favorite ninjas in real-time while defending the AI-controlled partner. Players can choose the character best suited to each situation for a more exciting and personalized action game experience.
Versatile Touch Action: Through the use of the PS Vita rear and front touch screens, along with precise six-axis motion controls, players can now immerse themselves even deeper into the ultimate ninja experience.

Great ninja action gameI've been playing Ninja Gaiden games since the original NES days. They were great games then and they continue to be great games now. This installment is a unique addition to the NG cannon. It originally came out on the 360 simply known as Ninja Gaiden 2, and while NG2 was not as brutally difficult as Ninja Gaiden Black for the orginal XBOX, NG2 still proved to be formidable challenge in its own right, which (to its detriment) made it unaccessable to the casual gamer. This game fixes that, so now casual gamers can enjoy it. Overall I enjoyed it, especially since my favorite weapon, the Vigoorian Flails, can now be accessed at chapter 3 insread of chapter 9. Two of the the three additional chapters, Momoji and Rachel, are OK, but like the mini boss fights with The Buddha and the Statue of Liberty, the game could've done without. Other than Ryu, Ayane is the most fun character to play due to her combat mechanics. Overall the game is excellent, despite its minor nuisances, and can now be enjoyed by a larger pool of gamers.

Great Addition to PS Vita's Game LibraryThis game is a great port, and a welcome addition to the Vita, a system currently lacking in great games. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus has great weapons, fast combat, and dismemberments are a great addition that make the game much more entertaining. The game does not have as much blood as the original Ninja Gaiden II for the 360, and the framerate does slow down at times, but those don't really matter because the game is very fun and although it can be challenging at times, that just adds to the fun of the game. The story isn't much, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. New to the Vita are Ninja Race and Tag Missions, and although I have yet to play Ninja Race, the Tag Missions are great and offer re playability to this game. In all, I would definitely recommend this game to fans of action games or just people who are looking for a good PS Vita game.

Its Ninja Gaiden sigma 2 on a handheldive owned ninja gaiden 2 on both xbox 360 and the ps3. i really liked how fluid and fast the game was. The psvita version sometimes gets a bit choppy when it got hectic when there are alot of enemies on the screen. Though these didnt hinder the gameplay yet i wish it was a bit smoother. I do recommend that you pick this up if you liked the previous ninja gaiden (xbox, xbox 360, Ps3) games pick this one up because its pretty much the same

Good game no dlc!!!A improvement over the original, blood, teams and extra modes is a plus. My complain is that the dlc never arrive even they remove it from the description. The same move to promote pre orders but never gave the code same as ashura wrath and others games. If i dont receive the dlc i will cancel all my pre orders.
