Not for meThe tale of Despereaux was just not for me,and probably not for alot of people. The gameplay was very simple-minded,the graphics are CHEESY(get it,because he's a rat?never mind). The sound is muffled when the people talk and the narrarator is so annoying, and there isn't much to come back and replay.Although this wasn't the game for me,I still did enjoy when you first started out in the kitchen and you could shimmy up candles and jump from one chandelier to another. But other than that,I didnt really like it.Some of the levels had kind of a depressing feel to them. They were usually dark looking and dreary and thats NOT what you want for a kids game.Although I thought Tale of Despereaux was better than Space Chimps,Brash Entertainment jus needs to get out of the video game making buisness while they still have some of their pride.Anyway, even though I thought it was better than Space Chimps,I still think ''The tale of Despereaux'' only deserves a 3 or 4,so I went with a 4 just because of the first couple of levels. This game was just not for me.

It's pretty cool. This game is cool. The only problem, is the fact that the sound is pretty bad. Other than that the game is awesome. I really think you should get this fun game!

The Tale of DespereauxWhen I got htis game I was real excited because i read the book and loved it. Well the game was so so. The graphics and detail were amazing, they had great inlistrations all through the game. The sound was actually good ,the voice repeted a lot when you fought enimies but was still actually pretty good. The problem was the controls. When you had to jump it didn't always read it right and when you had to balence on something you fall off at least twice. the most frustrating part was when you had to swing on paintings it never read it right and I couldn't get past the level after that so I don't know how long the game was. The storyline was great and the graphics were awesome but it was unplayable so I can't give to good of a score. If you like games that look cool but are unplayable buy this game.
