Overall a great collection.I never really got into the King of Fighters games but when I saw this I knew I had to add it to my collection. The game has its challenging moments and has multiple difficulties and quite a variety of characters. I have to say this is probably one of the better fighting franchises in the world. Not the best but its up there with the word great. With the 5 games included there is this challenge mode which is how you get your unlockables and is a nice feature that extends the gameplay and can be very challenging which can lead to frustration as they are set up under different difficulties but at the same time its well worth it in the end. The graphics start out at being pretty good for the time and end up being really good. I like the variety of characters and they look pretty good on the tube. There is some storyline but its nothing extravagant by todays standards but what it does do is offer a little in the entertainment value department. This was common by the standards when these games were originally released. Overall this is a great compilation collection and if you like 2D fighting games I can promise you will not be disappointed.

A Fantastic Fighting Collection..IF You Have The Right ControllerFighting fans rejoice as SNK has brought Wii one of its very best collection of fighters, The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga. This complilation includes the one that started it all, KOF '94 through the fantastic (and arguably) greatest entry KOF '98. Playing this sweet collection has brought back MANY fond memories and each of the games here are all just as good as when they first came out. If your craving for some incredibly solid oldschool 2D fighting, you do not need to look further than here. JUST MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CLASSIC CONTROLLER TO FULLY ENJOY THESE FIGHTERS. If not STEER VERY CLEAR as everyone knows that the Wii remote is ATROCIOUS for fighting games. Graphics - OLDSCHOOL. These are straight arcade ports so if you've never played or seen them before you'll be in for a shock. Though the graphics dont mean anything as the gameplay here flatout rocks. Bottom line is the gameplay more than makes up for the graphics. Sound/Music - Again, exactly like the arcade. Everything here sounds just as it did. No more, no less. Control - As long as your playing with the classic controller you'll have no problems what so ever. Gameplay - Some of the best 2D fighting available on the system. If your a fan of this genre there's no reason to not have this in your Wii collection. Veterans will know all the differences in each game while newbies will probably take a while to see the differences, additions, and upgrades from KOF '94-'98. Extras - SNK has thrown in a TON of extras. You must complete many challenges in Challenge Mode to unlock the extra content. Challenge variety is great such as beating teams with only 1 character, winning without the visibilty of the health bars, winning with only certain moves, winning within strict time limits, etc. Extras are background music, artwork, etc. It'll keep you busy for quite a while. This is a fantastic complilation and well worth picking up. Now I just have to wait for the ultra sweet Samurai Showdown Anthology. Thank you SNK.
