A Decent Old School Beat 'Em UpTMNT 3 Mutant Nightmare is about as old school as you can possibly get. It's a 2D side scrolling beat 'em up which has you playing as (obviously) the TMNT clan. You choose which ever turtle you would like to play as in the beginning of each level. Whast nice is that each turtle has there own set of attack animations and special move but also depending on which turtle you pick the level/layout changes to suit each turtles based on there ability. So for example Raphael can climb walls with his sai's so he can get to areas that the other turtles cant etc. Its a cool little twist to the game and though it doesnt change the game drastically in the least, it is a welcome addition. Graphics are nice and crisp, nothing that taxes the DS is any way but they get the job done. Music is pretty ho hum with no track that really sticks out. Controls are super simple, you'll have absolutely no problem at all with them. I should also mention that this game is based on the 2003 version of the cartoon series, so anyone hoping to see Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang etc...they wont find them here. Thats all there really is to Mutant Nightmare. Again, if your in the mood for some old school beat 'em up action you should track this game down. Its a little hard to come by so if you see it pick it up.
