Took some fiddling to get it to workThe cartridge shipped really fast, I was exited to try it out. But... it wasn't recognized by my DS for more than a split second and so wouldn't launch. I had to clean it with some vinegar and wiggle it in the slot but I did get the game to work eventually. Game itself is super fun and has no issues beyond that but I'm kinda annoyed how much I had to work to finally get it to run. Don't they test these things to see if they run first? Should've cleaned it themselves in my opinion.

For "hardcore" or party gamers...Or single players. It doesn't matter. This game is excellent though. It's very "kiddy-like", cutesy and all of that but underneath the physical presentation is a very addictive yet difficult game. You basically have to bring these colored raindrop-looking things called Puyos together to make chains. These chains create nuisance Puyo that drop on your opponent's screen and get in the way of things. Chain together multiple Puyo and you create a wall of nuisance Puyo that the other player will have a hard time warding off. However, it's not called Puyo Pop Fever for nothing! Fever Mode is the mode you enter once you have nuisance Puyo clogging up your screen yet you manage to make enough chains. In Fever Mode, you do the same thing as normal mode except there are a bunch of Puyos set up in your favor so you can get revenge on your opponent. This is one of the highlights of the games. +++++++++++ Some can be put off by the graphics and cutesy presentation (even if the battle backgrounds are 3Dish and really well done) but the heart of the game is the unique puzzle element. I'd say if you like puzzle games then this is the one to get. I'm sure you should be able to find it just about anywhere old or new below the price of 30 dollars and that's money well spent. I found mine in 2007 or so at a Gamestop store for 14.99. What a steal! --Papasongbird
