Based on the original Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball Origins for Nintendo DS is the latest edition to the Dragon Ball franchise. Players will experience a thrilling adventure that is more fun and lighthearted compared to later Dragon Ball stories. Gamers can collect the 7 Dragon Balls while traveling around with their CPU controlled partner, Bulma, who is protected by the character Goku. In the shoes of Goku, the player must protect Bulma from incoming enemy attacks using special skills, such as fighting with his power pole, or unleashing a kamehameha. Combined with Bulma's ability to invent machines and weapons, the intrepid pair make a formidable team able to defeat even the strongest enemies or trickiest of obstacles. If either is defeated it is game over!

The innovative controls mean the player uses only the touch pad to control Goku. Players must draw lines or shapes to direct the character and control the action by tapping on the screen, for example a double tap on Goku followed by tapping on the Ka-me-ha-me-ha letters unleashes his devastating signature move.
Multiple Gaming Styles: Players can choose from puzzle solving, fighting action, and mazes as younger Goku and Bulma travel through action-packed levels that show the origin of Dragon Ball.

Dragonball - A - Thon #1I'm doing a Dragonball - A -Thon becuase Draggonball and Dragonball Z are my favorite TV Shows. I'm reviewing all the Dragonball games I've played from Dragonball Origins to Dragonball Raging Blast 2. Into the review. Dragonball Origins tells the story of Goku when he was a young boy found in the forest as a baby by Grandpa Gohan. Grandpa Gohan takes Goku in because no one is around to see Goku in the forest. Years later Gohan dies and Goku live by himself in the mountains. When he is found by a teenager named, Bulma, she takes Goku with her to find the powerful orbs called the Dragonballs, which can grant you any whish you want. (Bulma wants a boyfreind). On the way they meet charchters such as, Yamcha, Master Roshi, and Tein. i give the game a 6/10 because it's not very good. The other Dragonball games are fighting games while this is more of an adventure game, which make Dragonball into an adventure game just feels queere. The graphics suck, the controls are clunky, and overall just a mediocre game. Games will get better though but unfourtnately, the next game I'm going to review isn't very good either.
UP NEXT: DRAGONBALL Z BUDOKAI 2

DragonBall :3This game should be taken apart from the rest. Finally a non-fighting game. I enjoyed this way more than the budokai games. RPG elements and adventure :3 only thing I had a problem with is the controls hard to do some things and you have to do them precisely. Lets hope they make another RPG Adventure (DB) or (DBZ) game for the 3DS :)

I got this game really recently...I got this game really recently and I'm loving it... This game's challenge is good, the graphics is really decent for the DS console, the plot and storyline is good as well. The sounds and music is well made as well. The only thing in this game that bothers me the most is the controls. The controls are somewhat extremely off because when you try to get your character to do something, it may get messed up if you don't do it EXTREMELY precisely. So it's kinda annoying if you try to fight off some of the monsters or go somewhere in this game while trying to struggle with the controls at the same time. But the controls are basically the only thing in this game I found really faulty, stupid and should be rethought of if they made a remake of it on the DS. But never the less, I think this entire game is pretty decent.

One of the best DS games around...I was and still am amazed at this game. Dragonball: Origins is the one of the best games I have played for the DS in a while. I recommend anyone who even likes games to buy this game. Simply because the challenge for this game is excellent, you wont beat it in 2-days! The controls for this game are awesome all you need is the stylus to move and attack. The interface is really great for this game. The special moves are excellent use can use Goku's powerful fist, or his unbeatable power pole. The unlockables are great because you find certain pieces for Bulma and Goku to get stronger. The character balance is sweet. The graphics in this game look just like the Dragonball anime show... Go old Dragonball classic music. The storyline is excellent for I think the first two sagas of Dragonball you play just about every episode! I would recommend that you go and buy Dragonball: Origins for the DS!

A Must BuyThis game is a must buy for any hand held video game lover. The controls along with the animations are exciting and cool. I personally love the dragon ball series and this is a game you need to have if you share this same appreciation of the series. The game starts out from the beginning of the Dragon ball series, the character people have grown to love Goku is a mere child but he packs a powerful punch. This game gives you great control of Goku as he sets upon a quest with the teenage Bulma. You can use anything from his Powerpole to the ever so famous kamehameha wave. The cut scenes add humor to the action packed story. Watching Master Roshi make a fool of himself brings back fond memories of when I was younger and still tied into the show. This game is awesome and a must buy whether you already like the shows or not.
