CN punch time explosion 3DS review.CN punch time explosion is very similar to Super smash bros. games. basically, it's a toned down version of super smash bros brawl. So it has all of the best cartoon network characters and that's great. but the battle physics are horrible. and in battle mode first of all, it takes for ever for the announcer to say the names of all of the characters, it's even worse if you are playing with 4 characters. he will say, "name of character vs name of character, 3, 2, 1, fight", every time you start a battle which wastes 10 seconds. and the fighting is just awful, the actions are way to slow compared to smash bros, you will be losing just because of the game's bad control. it also has a story mode, just like brawl did. except this one is much easier and really short, while brawl's story can take at least up to a year to finish. not only that the game takes you back to the main menu after you win or lose a fight, instead of doing what most fighting games would do and send you back to the character select screen so that you can jump right back into it. What's even worse is that I used to love cartoon network, I thought that a game with all of my favorite characters from the past would be my favorite game, characters like, Dexter, the powerpuff girls, and even johnny bravo are all here, along with some newer characters like chowder and flapjack, are here too, and the cutscenes in the story mode are like a 90's flash animation cartoon, and the game just feels more like a fan game then a real fighting game. so I recommend this for extreme cartoon network fans.

A watered down substitute for Super smash bros. There have been a lot of super smash bros clones out there such as, PlayStation all stars that actually worked, this is not one of them. CN punch time explosion is a horrible copy of the super smash bros series. Everything in super smash bros brawl is in here. there are character assists, and final smashes, in this game, they call the final smashes "punch time explosions." now the gameplay, the battle physics are awful, the movements of the punches are very slow and the movements of the characters is terrible. and it takes about 5 seconds for you to start the fight because the announcer is saying the names of each character, the rules of the fights are the same as super smash bros brawl, just knock everyone else off the screen. and if you lose during a fight, it sends you to the winner and loser screen where it randomly selects one of the CPU characters to win, instead of letting the CPU controlled characters finish the fight. and after each fight, it sends you all the way back to the main menu, instead of sending you back to the character select screen. this game even has a story mode, you know like super smash bros brawl. but it is extremely easy, and can be completed in 4 days, while super smash bros brawl story can be completed in at least a year. so the story is that some evil remote control tries to take over the cartoon network world by setting all of the best villains from cartoon network free to every cartoon world. you have to play as some of the best characters like Ben 10, chowder, the Powerpuff girls, Dexter, and even johnny bravo. after the story mode is over, the game just looses it's taste. it gets boring and repetitive to play this short story or fight these sloppy fights over and over again, no replay value at all, this is basically the cheap person's super smash bros brawl. What makes everything worse was the fact that when I first heard about this game, I was thrilled, finally all of my favorite cartoon network characters from my memores coming together and going into a super smash bros clone, I like super smash bros, and I used to love cartoon network so I thought that this would be one of my favorite games. but it feels more like a fan game because of how much it breaks the fourth wall.

Best Dang Cartoon Network Game EVER!Despite the fact the game was as hard to find as Rhythm Theif and The Emperors Treasure due to my location, this game was frackin' awesome. I was born in the mid 90's and was raised on most of these Cartoon Network characters and the nostalgia nearly overwhelmed me. Even though the only person who really talks in the game is the narrator and voice over guy, the characters have little quips for when they get KO'd or win a battle. Slightly disappointing though, most of the voices for the characters were done by 6 people, so you can imagine my rage/bummed outness/confusion when Buttercup and Blossom sounded completely different. However, they fixed that issue with the re-release for other consoles. The controls are so similar to Super Smash Bros. that one wouldn't really have to adapt to anything. The battlefields are designed directly after the characters' corresponding shows and many items in the game are from more than just the characters' shows. Hopefully they release a sequel in the future so I can whip Finn or Jake's butt as Buttercup.

the perfect reason to get a 3ds.this game is like super smash bros. but with cartoon network characters. it was fun. but they should not have ported it to the ps3, 360 and wii systems. those ones are terible. but the 3ds version was perfect. don't get the console ports get the original 3ds version.

One of the best games for 3DS!This game is sort of a rip off of Super Smash Bros Brawl but I love this game! I would not recommend getting the TV console game versions because I have the wii and it is extremely hard to play the game with the wii remote and numchuks! I wish that they would make a Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion 2 that has more characters in it and is just like the TV console version!
