Product Description

In today's hyper-connected world, Chicago has the country's most advanced computer system – one which controls almost every piece of city technology and holds key information on all of the city's residents. You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker, whose criminal past lead to a violent family tragedy. Now on the hunt for those who hurt your family, you'll be able to monitor and hack all who surround you while manipulating the city's systems to stop traffic lights, turn off the electrical grid and more. Use the city of Chicago as your ultimate weapon and exact your own style of revenge.

Game Overview

Set in Chicago, where a central network of computers connects everyone and everything, Watch_Dogs explores the impact of technology within our society. Using the city as your weapon, you will embark on a personal mission to inflict your own brand of justice.

Chicago's overarching network is known as the Central Operating System (ctOS), and it controls almost all of the city's technology and information - including key data on all of the city's residents.

You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. While seeking justice for those events, you'll monitor and hack those around you by manipulating the ctOS from the palm of your hand. You'll access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy... and more.

The City is Our Weapon

Watch_Dogs takes place in a fully simulated living city. Using Aiden's smartphone, you have real-time control over the city's infrastructure. Trap your enemy in a 30-car pileup by manipulating the traffic lights. Stop a train, and then board it to evade the authorities. Narrowly escape capture by quickly raising a drawbridge. Anything connected to the ctOS can become your weapon.

Street Justice

Living in inner city Chicago, where violence is often answered by violence, Aiden has learned how to take the fight to the streets. Deliver devastating blows with your baton, or experience electrifying shoot-outs with physics simulation that rivals anything in the shooter category. Throughout his journey, Aiden will take on his foes with more than 30 traditional weapons.

High Octane Driving

Luckily, Aiden won't always need to traverse Chicago's streets on foot. Ubisoft Montreal has partnered with studios such as Ubisoft Reflections, the acclaimed team behind the award-winning Driver series, to provide a suite of vehicles bursting with horsepower. You'll get behind the wheel of more than 65 cars – each with state-of-the-art physics and handling – to explore Chicago's vast and intricate roadways.

Everything is Under Control

Disrupt, the all-new game engine powering Watch_Dogs, uses advanced processing to deliver stunning visuals and an incredibly immersive world.

Dynamic Navigation

Not only does Watch_Dogs give you the ability to take advantage of the ctOS, it also allows you to explore the many layers of Chicago itself. Cut through buildings, scale rooftops, and explore the city's dangerous underground to catch your target.

Aiden Pearce

You are Aiden Pearce, a man shaped by violence and obsessed with surveillance, who monitors his family 24/7 in secret to protect them from something that happened in the past. Unfortunately, his family will get endangered once again.

Pushed to his limits, he will take justice into his own hands and confront a corrupt system using every weapon available to him. Aiden will become a modern Vigilante Hero – not a hero from the 70's with a cape, but a real human being that will deal with all the repercussions of his actions.

Clara Lille

Clara is seductive. She's dangerous. She's the trapdoor spider you never saw living right under you. She can weave her way through any system and she can expose every secret you hide.

Jordi Chin

When you're screwed beyond belief, you call in a fixer. And that's Jordi. He gets things done and gets paid good money for his services. You need a body to disappear? You gotta find a missing adversary? Someone pissed you off? You call Jordi.

The ctOS is an efficient system linking all the city's infrastructure and public security installations to one centralized hub. This system focuses on traffic efficiency, eco-development, tele-communications, and crime control throughout Chicago. It has brought notable benefits to citizens, including shorter commutes, lowered crime rates, a cleaner city, and much more.

Watch_Dogs takes place in a contemporary Chicago that's been enhanced and transformed by the ctOS. In this version of Chicago, everything is connected. Banks, security systems, communication hubs, and even the city's basic infrastructure operate via the this connected network. The ctOS provides a new take on one of the world's great cities, and it's this omniscient setting that serves as the backdrop for Aiden's story.

Awesome game, but...

I absolutely love every open world aspect of this game like hacking, driving cars, buying weapons and outfits for Aiden Pearce (the character you play as), and crafting hackable items. If you're looking for a GTA-like game for the Wii U, this is definitely the closest you're gonna get. The story so far is good to the point where I'm interested, but I personally like this game more for it's free roaming and online multiplayer. The Wii U version unfortunately does not have online Free Roam or Decryption (and for anybody who doesn't know, the ctOS Mobile Challenges no longer exist on any platform because the app is no longer supported). The only thing about this game I don't like is that I know there are a few scenes with nudity in them. Call me Christian but that aside, I just don't think that's necessary and it's kinda disgusting. I just don't wanna see it. Other than that, this is a great game.

Watch Dogs made to last

A Open City Cyber thriller action adventure game. Run,drive, swim (if you have too) though the main game throughout a beautiful city that crawling with life. Pedistrains (including street level criminals that will terrorize the citizens) plenty of traffic, day to night transition, even leaves falling from trees. Along the way in this game, you will learn how to control everything in the city for your advantage. Traffic lights, explode various electric boxes in spectacular fashion in missions, hack phones and computers, control surviance videos, road blocks ect. The sense of control with the character skill set is very creative. Side missions that Serves as a virtual scavenger hunts, network hacking to unlock items of interest, freedom to stop crime, unlock new abilities, gadgets and vehicles. Solve a murder mystery, find markets hidden throughout the city ect ect. This game is massive and the hours spent on all the game and challenges make this game a smart buy. The driving controls are floaty, not a deal breaker, not much for radio entertainment while in the cars like other similar games .Game does have graphic language and nudity. DLC available as long as Nintendo store is open.

Wii Game Reviewers review

This game will remind you of a familiar game called GTA (Grand Theft Auto). This game is not only a great game to play; it is also a great way to spend time with friends. The graphics could be better and the storyline is a little odd at some points but the game overall is good. If you are a casual gamer and you are moving away from GTA, then this game is a very good game for you. WGRJosh (Xbox, Wii, PS reviews and much more!)

An average port of an average game.

Watchdogs was a title I had initially looked forward to playing on the WiiU. But as is the case with many third party ports on WiiU? They typically arrive late, lack content, features and get none of the DLC the other platforms get. WiiU needs third party support but it needs good third party support. Watchdogs on WiiU came out 6 months after it was out on other platforms. It is little wonder its sales suffered for it due to the fact people who had already played it on Xbox or PS4 found it to be an average game at best. Certainly not the next gen defining game Ubisoft had hyped it up to be. But then again that is Ubisoft for you... If your really looking to play this game and only own a WiiU? Save yourself some money and rent it. If you own another system or PC? play it there.

Really good game I recommend it for anyone who enjoys GTA but owns a WiiU. The only problem with this game is no online free roam.

Best Open World Action Game For Wii U
This Game is really awesome. Honestly the Wii U console needs plenty more games like this games like this one. I really am fascinated by the fact that Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs are in the same universe ( not talking about the fact that they're made both by Ubisoft ). In one of the missions you have to kill this dude who was traveled to Chicago in Assassin's Creed 4, he was the president of Abstergo or something like that. ( Abstergo is the company that is fighting the Assassin's) Well anyways this game has great graphics, although I expected there to be big-brand vehicles like in Gta V but any car is well as long as it goes "vroom" . I think that I'm not the only one that can say that the best part of the game is the open word city that you can control with your phone. So yeah this game is pretty great.

Better than GTA
Finally a real rated M title for Wii U and a free roam world. This is the game I have been waiting for. Nintendo have covered all aspects and genres for gaming now. This is better than GTA and really what the Wii U needed. All the Wii U needs is the new upcoming Mortal Kombat and this will be the dream system. I can enjoy the classics and new games all in one system. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you
