I bought this years ago and loved everything about it. It's witty. It has terrible puns and good laughs. You can make your friends sit through the Trouple King's dance repeatedly. next to axiom verge its my favorite 2d game.
I just bought it on Ps3 for my 5 year old nephew
Shovel Knight is an awesome game that brings you back to the 8-bit era of gaming on the NES, and along with the feel of the 8-bit era, they brought back the difficulty. Shovel Knight will take you a long time to beat despite there only being 9 levls just due to the difficulty of the game without getting the power ups and relics. The down side is there is no real replay value to Shovel Knight when you beat it. For sure, grab this thing pre-owned and prepare yourself for the grind of your life!
This game is easily one of the best indie games I've played that everyone should have the chance to play this game. The game may be rather short but the challenge proves that you won't be beating on your first session. The amount of collectables to find will make completionists druel. the blend of Mega Man,& Castlevania with a hint of Zelda 2 for good measure works out really well. Though the last couple of levels that I can almost guarantee will make you attempt to break your controller. This is an indie game that any fan of platformers should play. Though the difficulty isn't meant for newcomers to the genre. Also the soundtrack is one of the 5 best 8-bit soundtracks I've heard. I am the bunnyboy & I want Shovel Knight in Smash 4. We've already got that Amiibo on the way.
