    Love Danganronpa, But Disappointing Ending

    I finally bought this game after dodging internet spoilers for what felt like ages. I really enjoyed the game until I reached the final trial. In the last chapter, there were some plot twists there that were really disappointing and not good. I did not enjoy the ending. I felt like the creators were almost attacking the fans at the end. (Sorry for how vague my description is but I don't want to post spoilers.) The bonus content almost makes up for the ending. There is a bonus mode where characters from all 3 main games can interact and it is super cute and fun. I'd recommend looking at other reviews before deciding whether or not you want to spend money on this game so you can have a better idea of what you're getting into first.

    I bought this without having played Danganronpa 1-2, but still had a fantastic time playing through every class trial. The mechanics for both the novel and trial portions were well-explained, and while I played on the regular difficulty I appreciate the ability to toggle difficulty options for each section. I'd estimate I spent around 15~20 hours on my first playthrough, but I easily see myself spending another 10 finishing off all the trophies to platinum it.

    Yet Another Great Danganronpa Title!

    While not quite as good as the amazing second entry in the series, Danganonpa V3 is still an excellent game with a diverse cast of characters. Most of the chapters are solid (except the third) and the ending evoked the same feelings as Harlan Ellison's 'I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream'. As always, the Trials have been improved with new minigames, more twists & turns, and improvements over past minigames. There's a slew of engaging postgame content including a minigame-filled casino, a dating mode, a dungeon-exploring RPG with Monokuma-themed enemies, and even a combination card/board game to improve your stats for the previously mentioned RPG mode. All things considered this is yet another wonderful entry in a series I personally love. I fully recommend this game to fans of the previous two. But due to spoilers contained for the previous games, I don't recommend starting with this one if you're new to the series!

    A big disappointment

    The story is decent. But a lot of the mini-games are terrible. The first one you're introduced to is designed to be difficult, except it's accomplished by having poor controls and bad design. A lot of the mini-games have good concepts, but poorly executed, in addition to breaking the narrative flow when they're shoehorned in and force you to play. Visual novels are supposed to be more casual, except the twitchy mini-games make for a confusing game. I was a big fan of the franchise but this will be my last Danganronpa game.

    Up to about the 5th chapter this is a good game and a solid entry in the Danganronpa series. The ending absolutely ruins the whole series for me. Don’t bother playing it if you don’t want it ruined for you.
