Witcher 3 is one of the best games of the current console generation, but in order to know most of the deep lore, you need to play the games that came before it. Here, we see WeCheer 2, the predecessor to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. WeCheer 2’s extensive soundtrack is incredible, and is arguably better than the music in the sequel, the Witcher 3. One track, “Just Dance,” by Lady GaGa is not to be confused with the series of video games by the same name. The role playing attributes of The Witcher 3 are not missing from this entry, as just like the sequel, you can change your outfit by purchasing new clothing. The clothing options are limited when compared to The Witcher 3, but keep in mind that a whole console generation separates the two games.
You might be wondering “Wait, I’m buying this game so that I know the backstory of The Witcher 3. Isn’t this the second game? Don’t I need to play the first one?” And to that, the answer is no. Nobody cares about Doki Doki Majo Shinpan!, because it was only released in Japan. Sure, it has more witches than WeCheer 2 (and The Witcher 3!), but it isn’t considered canon in the English versions of The Witcher 3.
