Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity Good or Bad?

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is the second game in the Sonic Riders trilogy. It has the same tone and gameplay as the previous game. Sonic and his friends race on hover boards in what looks like a future setting in Ready Player One. I enjoyed the game and I consider it the best out of the three. And the theme has an unbelievably catchy theme called UNGRAVITIFY. Plus the voice acting and story is fun and entertaining.

Very great family game loads of fun to play with your siblings; how you can race each other, have fun playing through the storyline to unlock both new characters and maps to race on it's so much fun to play. I'd advise to purchase and have a great time playing with your family. Also to say the game is not difficult to play either it's very comprehensive for every player.

Alright. The pros of this game. 1: The soundtrack. I have yet to get this game, although I am getting it soon. I had this game a really long time ago, and I remember LOVING the soundtrack. Some really good listens would be Un-Gravitify (The main theme performed by Cashell) Into Traffic, Spiral Madness, Maybe Babylon Gardens..? That was my least fav song on the soundtrack. Pro 2: The voice-acting and cutscenes. The cutscenes in this game are AMAZING to look at and not as good as Sonic Colors or Sonic Unleashed in my opinion, but they still are really easy on the eyes. As well as the voice acting, which all the people who voiced Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the returning characters, known as the Babylon Rogues, Jet, Storm, and Willow, (I think that's her name? The female Babylon Rogue.) did great on. I always thought that the voice actor/actress for Tails in SA1 and SA2 wasn't all that great, Tails' lines sounded very strained and high-pitched in that game. Anyway, my point is that I can actually listen to him now without cringing! (No offense to the actor/actress who voiced Tails in SA1 and SA2.) Knuckles and Sonic sound as they always have, great performances by their actors. Pro 3: The gameplay. Ok, ok! Don't grab your pitchforks yet! I just want to say this. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE WIIMOTE. I personally was able to get used to the controls after practicing for a while, but of course that's just me. I would definitely reccomend the GameCube controller for this game to newcomers. Now, I really like that they did away with the air mechanic from the first Riders game. It really put a dent in the gameplay. But, I do like the upgrade mechanic that replaced it in ZG. Rings aren't that hard to find in this game, as long as you practice for a little bit, you'll be upgrading you're EX-gear (Extreme gear/The hoverboards used in this game) pretty fast. Now onto the cons. Con 1: The story. Sonic Riders ZG was a bit... lacking in the story section when push came to shove. It seemed shallow and short, accompanied by a lot of cutscenes and not much gameplay. The sound of the voice actors was also a little quiet, but that's just a small gripe. Con 2: The lack of tracks. The actual racing tracks in ZG were few and far between, I think there was around 7 or 8 tracks present in the game? Dunno, anyway, these tracks were full of a lot of different ways to use the Gravity mechanic, a feature that I personally think is pretty dang awesome looking if pulled off correctly. Sadly though, the tracks got a bit repetitive after a while, especially if I was stuck on one certain track, though luckily that didn't happen a lot. Alright, that concludes my review, I give it a 4.6 out of 5.

Fun Game

I enjoyed the first Riders game, so I thought to pick up this one, and I sure didn't regret it. The Wii controls were confusing, so I happily switched over to the GameCube controller, which made it then easy. The music is really good, the tracks are fun, and the new gravity mechanics were cool. The story, like these type of games have, was lame, though. The story mode was short, but the Free Race and Grand Prix modes were very fun. Easy game once you figure out the controls, and be sure to use a GameCube controller! I'd definitely recommend this to those who enjoy racing and party games, but it is still fun to play alone. Even though it's years old, I still play it and really love it.

A bit let down...

At first, I was super excited to get this game because of the experience I had with the PS2 version and well, during the story mode and missions, it was alright but after that game got super boring. Story mode was so short that it left me wanting more and missions went all too fast and now the game seems pointless to play and dont mess up on tryin' to gravity control to the wall or you wont get first place back. @_@

Everyone's giving this game a bad review because they're mad because the suck. The game is pretty hard but that doesn't mean its not fun! And don't forget to play the tutorial! Without it, I would seriously suck! And yes the graphics are not great but they're ok. Sonic Adventure DX has better graphics
