A step down from Rockband and Guitar Hero
Anonymous
Rockband games have been known to be a challenge a fun. Though this game is a step down from Rockband or Guitar Hero. The graphics in the Rockband a and Guitar Hero games are better and have better controls. The controls for this game are kind of a mess. For instance, you ave to switch the nunchuck and wii remote, so the nunchuck will be on your right and your wii remote will be on left. I really doesn't make sense and makes it difficult to play. Though I like the idea that you do not need the equipment to virtually rock out! Though the controls get hard. On Drummer, (The first difficulty) you play with three controls. A is for the pink. Green is for the wii remote, and yellow is the nunchuck. It speeds up pretty quick and it is frusterating. Then when you play Drum King the next difficulty, it gets really hard with the additional purple B and blue Z. And the light blue for a random shake. It is really hard to hit a perfect note, though only a Drum King can do that. Then the next difficulty is impossible! It is like expert in Rockband, but harder! However I like that it is challenging. The rythem is nice and catchy so the music was a good choice. Though when I was playing multiplayer with my brother, he was winning the whole time because I never really got to play! He would get like a minutes worth of drumming, where I'd get five seconds! The combos are hard to get and when you hit it on the spacebar correctly, it counts as a poor. If you get a better hit is a good. Than a perfect. The songs are good, like 'We will Rock You', and the graphics are okay. Though they could be more improved. When you play though it is impossible to hit all the notes at the same time because the conrols stink! The places you play at are pretty nice though they are just like the places from Rockband or Guitar Hero. It is rated T for lyrics, and I agree with that from playing the game. Customizing your drummer is fun and though I find the Rockband versions more fun to custimize. Though I am happy that this is a video game because I love drumming, and now they have a game for that. All that I really could do now is practice and try to be the Drum King.
