Product Description

Pinball Hall of Fame The Williams Collection faithfully recreates eight of the most memorable tables from the golden age of pinball in stunning, photorealistic 3D. Working closely with Williams to ensure authenticity of each of the games, the collection is highlighted by some of the most popular and innovative Williams pinball tables, including Gorgar, the first-ever talking pinball machine, Black Knight, which introduced Magna-Save and Bonus Ball, and Space Shuttle, which took the pinball industry by storm in 1984. Every table has been meticulously recreated to bring players the visuals, sound effects and gameplay that made these games legendary successes. Pinball Hall of Fame The Williams Collection harkens back to the arcades of the 1980s.

Pinball at it's best.

This game proves itself worthy of being pinball. The graphics are good, the gameplay is good and everything else is good. This is an excellent game that I recomend to anyone who wants a casual game to play. Although I do not recomend it to hardcore gamers.

Cheaper than an arcade visit! But all the fun!

Needed a fun game, cheap in used price, but somewhat competitive. Well, we sure got it with this game! I love to play pinball and this is pretty close! Husband used to play the Williams collection back in the day and was very surprised at how authenitc it was. Of course not completely authentic but for a video game, very close!! Graphics are very good, sound is great. Could have used a few more games that had more 'stuff' to hit. It's only 2 players but you can share the same remote and nun chuk between players. That helps when you only have 2 sets! Great game for younger famiy (8-14 maybe?) that can get competitive but tires out easliy to games that require a lot of movement! (We love to compete in baseball but that doesn't last too long!) Only grip i can think of is that I wish there were more machines and some way to also have the score represented. Otherwise we love it!

A Complete Waste of Time

As an older gamer, I had high hopes for Crave Entertainment's Pinball Hall of Fame - The Williams Collection. Firepower and Whirlwind are two of my all-time-favorite pinball tables. However, the game is a complete and utter disappointment. The gameplay is ruined by the developers' complete lack of understanding of the physics of pinball tables. The worst three tables are, by far, Jive Time, Sorcerer, and Pinbot. I played every table represented in the ten tables within the game, save Jive Time. I can safely say that several of the tables are completely misrepresented, especially Sorcerer and Pinbot. Both of these tables, within the Wii game, have multiple points where the ball automatically rolls out once it follows a certain path, unless you risk a tilt and shake the table. These paths did not exist in the real pinball tables. Crave has taken a solid concept and wasted everyone's time with the poor representation and impossible physics displayed through the gameplay. It is impossible to achieve the Wizard-level goals on all tables. Pinball games are not hard; Hudson had 2 perfect games to play, in terms of the physics and gameplay, in Devil's Crush and Alien Crush, and those were developed in 1992 and 1993 for the TurboGrafx system! Buy a Hudson product instead!

Takes you back!

Being older, this game takes you back to the days of blowing through your pocket money at the arcade in the mall. The best part is that you don't have to wait for your favorite table to be available. The cost of the game is very reasonable, less than I used to spend in one visit to the arcade. The arcade and table sounds (which can be individually turned off), the graphics, and the game tables are so realistic. I find the controls very quick and responsive. There is no hesitation unless you use a wireless nun chuck. I suggest using the nun chuck provided with the console. So, when your tired of shooting, stabbing, fighting and blowing up things, enter the arcade and play to your hearts content... enjoy! I am hoping that Williams puts out more pinball games.

Great Game for Pinball Fans

I used to love this game when I played it on the PSP. It was a toss up between this game and the 3D pinball but until I read the bad reviews on that game I decided to get this one. This game has amazing 10 tables and I believe more stuff once you get them unlocked. I love the goals and missions you are supposed to make on each table. I have not experienced lag on hitting the pins. The controls were unexpected but I like using the nunchuck and the remote. Great feel and fun to improve your scores and not have to pay .50 cents. This has been the best **** game yet. Buy the game new. Even the multiplayer game is much easier on the Wii than on the previous PSP. Haven't tried playing 4 players yet but competition is fun and easy. Only a few differences between the two games like missing out on a pool pinball game.

Old School Pinball...Awesome

I purchased this game last night and my step son and I couldn't stop playing. The action is smooth and views are fine. You can change the camera angle if you like too, which makes it even better. The different machines you can play makes it have something for everyone and when I saw The Black Knight on there I had to get it. It brought me back to when I was younger and played that machine in the arcade all the time. Since only playing it for one night, I haven't gotten into the other play options except just free play yet, but can hardly wait to try the others. If you like to play pinball and you remember going to the arcade with a couple of bucks to play for an hour, then this is the game you must get. And, to be perfectly honest, for the price you can't go wrong. Great game for a great price. All you pinball wizards out there get this game. You will love it, and if you like the old machines as much as me you won't be able to put it down. Enjoy!

Flipper Delay Dooms Pinball
Tarantara
Pros: 1. Interesting machines 2. complex games 3. good use of controls 4. Good array of sound options 5. Nice arcade navigation model Cons: 1. flippers delay. The delay is too long and requires user to anticipate when/if flipper will actually move. Should be nearly instantaneous. 2. Camera zooms in/out continuously while following ball. In some cases, the zoom is very useful. In many cases, you cannot see flippers until ball is nearly upon them. See flipper delay issue as it is amplified in this scenario. 3. Machine surface imagery colors are too saturated and the imagery, when coupled with oblique viewing angles, often hides the ball if it is moving very slowly. 4. The game does not remember the controller assignments even though you have not left the table and are just starting a new game at the table. You must assign controller for multi-players every time you replay a game at a table. I do not recommend this game.
