I went back and forth about getting this game. I couldn't decide if it would be to much like Mario Cart, which I love. I couldn't find many reviews, but I did read about the game. The one thing that make me want to invest in this game is the story mode. I have recently gotten into "questing" type games such as six flags family fun, where you have mini quests or tasks to complete to move on to the next level. I was hoping My sims racing would be just that, and it hasn't disappointed. The tasks range from collecting pizzas, to beating specific sims in a race. All the tasks involve racing around different tracks. So as your collecting items, your also driving. Some of the tasks are easy, and some are more difficult. What I really appreciate is there are three levels to "complete" each task. So lets say you are supposed to get 40 pizzas, if you only get 20, that's a bronze level and you still pass. So you don't have to try and try again to pass each task, but you do have to try harder to get the higher levels like gold. It makes completing tasks enjoyable and reachable even for a novice driver. If you enjoy Mario Kart, and Six flags family fun, this is a great to get. You don't have to be a sims fan to enjoy this. Really the "Sims" franchise is so far removed from this game (other then being able to customize EVERYTHING from hair to car stickers) that if you want a sims game, this might not be for you, try Sims Castaway.
