Great features!

I recently had a total knee replacement, so I can't do everything on this program, but the nice thing about my fitness coach 1 and 2 is that I can modify my movements to meet my needs while getting a good workout.

Removed the good from MFC1, added glitz.

The MFC exercises are good, but the presentation is poor. 1) Beyond the title, My Fitness Coach 2 has absolutely no similarity to My Fitness Coach. So if you liked MFC (which you did if you wanted to upgrade to MFC2), expect to be disappointed. MFC2 has dropped many good features from MFC and added extreme but useless cuteness. 2) You can't choose how long you want to exercise! Yesterday ran 13 minutes, and today ran 24 minutes. So how will you plan your exercise time? 3) When you are done, it tells you the "stars" that you have earned, but not the time you spent, nor the calories you burned. I have to use a stopwatch to track my time. 4) When you exercise, the pacing mechanism is awkward. Sometime it doesn't match the rhythm. It doesn't tell you whether the next action starts on the left or the right. Expect to make mistakes. *** See? they took out MFC's good, useful features and replaced them with a modern techie format that really doesn't help you with exercising.

Great for calisthenics training

I am not a gamer, but purchased this for my balance board. You tell the game what your #1 and #2 health fitness goals are and it tailors the workouts to suit your need. They are short and lack cardio, but I still get a very good strength workout. I have recommended this to friends.

Not like My fitness coach 1
fitness man

This rendition of My fitness coach was a disappointment in that it did not have anything to do with the first game. Maya who was the main attraction of the first game, didn't even exist in the second one. My fitness coach 2 was all video footage of actors and actresses performing each move. This may seem better but instead it felt contrived and sloppy. Each character seemed unenthused and silly. If you completed a routine good, they gave you a thumbs up, and if you didn't they gave you a sad face or a disappointing head shake. In each of the routines were a set of exercises, there wasn't any direction by the player as what set of exercises the trainer would choose and each exercise was broken up to be one exercise to be completed and then rated for accuracy. Then once everything was rated and scored, the player could move on to the next exercise. This meant that the player would be standing there waiting instead of exercising. The player could barely work up any kind of sweat, let alone get any cardio benefit. The graphics were fine for fixed video, a little grainy at times but glitch free. The acting was bad and seemed very staged. Only the bios of each trainer seemed sincere. The interaction with the controller worked but missed on alot of the moves and didn't seem very accurate. The sound was generic and often times goofy. There was a nutritional addition to the game which had recipes and a grocery list generator. The facts on the types of food were limited, and there wasn't any calories or fat content information on any of them. The recipes were ok but didn't seem to have any way to organize your own set of weekly choices that the player could choose for themselves. Overall, the game was completely opposite of the first rendition and lacked any good cardio or endurance routines due to the breaking up of each exercise. There wasn't a clock for the routines so you couldn't plan how long your workout was. The game had potential but failed to work on the good points from the original and completely tried for a different method which didn't have a good structure to base from. I would not recommend this game for anyone who liked the original.
