This game only cost 99 cent nowadays...so purchase this not expecting much. I did not get more than 2 hours of play out of this. The thing I liked most about this game were the mini games within it (such as the mini game where you are a goalie and you have to block incoming pucks). Another redeeming quality to this game was that it gives you a completion percentage on your saved profile. Exhibition mode was fun, because you set a timer on how long you wanted each period to be (with a game like this, a couple minutes each period is very fitting in my opinion). But in the actual tournament you have to play through 3 periods 6 minutes each (yeah...i know..thats typical), the problem I encountered with this, is the mechanics to the game are kind of cheap...Basically you just wait until your skill meter is charged up enough and then you more to less go and score a free point, and your opponent does the same thing. Its pretty easy to win, but doing that for 18 minutes straight is not fun (and to add onto that each cup is 3 matches long, so 54 minutes of doing that)....the only redeeming factor to playing through the 3 game tournament is that if you move around in certain patterns your opponents will quit chasing after you to get the puck...then you can just sit back and do something else until the period is over (I'm guessing this was some sort of programming flaw)....as I put in the title, this game is OK.....content/gameplay-wise it is more reminiscent of a classic NES hockey title, and it only costs 99 cent so its not a big investment if you purchase it and do not like it. I'd recommend to pick it up if you're looking to play a not-so-serious hockey title, or just someone looking for a cheap title to be entertained for a few hours. Hope my input has helped you out!
