Product Description

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance journalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to the small suburban town of Willamette only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. Frank escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety but it turns out to be anything but. It will be a true struggle to survive the endless stream of enemies, but players will have full reign of a realistic shopping centre and its varied stores offering an endless supply of real and makeshift weapons to fight off the flesh-hungry mob. If Frank is running low on health he can pay a visit to one of the many restaurants or cafes for a meal in order to restore his energy and continue the fight.
The game is split into a series of individual cases, all of which Frank must complete in order to gain vital information that will allow him to piece together the truth behind the horrendous epidemic. In addition to the cases, players will be faced with the dilemma of deciding the rescue priority of the residents of Wilamette who also sought sanctuary in the mall. Depending on the player's skill, some may not be so fortunate as each rescue needs to be undertaken in a set time period, therefore players may need to delay completion of a case in order to save a fellow human.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop's infectious humor delivers some welcome relief from the incessant tide of zombies with players able to dress Frank up in a variety of comedic costumes and take on the undead hordes with a selection of improvised and sometimes highly ineffective weapons such as a toy sword or a football.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop includes the following features:

  • Utilizes the same engine as Resident Evil 4 Wii edition.
  • New level of interaction – aim and fire guns, swing and throw weapons and shake off zombie attacks with added Wii Remote functionality
  • Huge environment – expansive indoor and outdoor areas of the mall provide a variety of different locations to explore
  • Improved save functionality allows for more seamless gameplay
  • Hoards of enemies on screen at once resulting in non-stop, pulse-pounding action
  • Anything in the mall is at Frank's disposal
  • Grab environmental objects like umbrellas and benches to use as improvised weapons
  • Snatch items from different stores to use as weapons including golf clubs, lawnmowers, frying pans and more
  • Consume food and drink to revive health

I got this game a month ago and while it is fun it does get repetative and boring after awhile. It is also fairly easy and the controls work good for it.The most anoying thing is the zombie parrots and zombie poodles. Graphic's are fairly well overall it is worth a buy but get it used.It is harder and better on xbox360.

deadrising is a good game. there is defiantly some hard levels, like the Japanese tourists is kinda a hard level. the only thing I don't like about this game is that some objects are harder to hit the zombies with, and by harder I mean not as quick. and there needs to be more BLOOD! so, I give this game 8/10. of course im sure the newer versions are more improved than this game which was in 2009. so, yeah you should get this game its fun. also if you don't have black ops II... well your just crazy!

I am currently playing this game now. I am on book 2-2 there are 8 books in all( chapter levels) it is fun killing zombies but the zombie poodle and zombie parrots are very annoying. It does get somewhat repetative but is still fun. Graphic's are good and so is the gameplay and the wii mote motion controller and nuchuck work good and are real easy to use.The control system is easy and well done. Only bad thin is the load lag in cut scenes and that the only way to save the game id in the storage area or in restrooms. You also can save after you finish a boss or level. You do have to do missions including saving people. The endless weapons are fun anything is a weapon I like the drill and chain saws but you can use toys, guitars, baseball bats, steel pipes, vegtable oil, knives work real good too but the guns are the best. Also when you get to Cletus the gun store owner after you befriend him he has great weapons you will defanantly need as you go further in the game. Another bad thing is camera angles in some areas but it isn't bad. Overall I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves killing zombies the more you kill the more you get books and level up as well as get money to buy guns and other stuff. If you see green things pick them up they are food and blue is ammo for shot gun and lots of it. The game is the same as on xbox360 gameplay wise with the exception that you can't go everywhere on the wii version and on xbox360 ammo is hard to come by. Buy this game you won't be sorry it is challenging too as I am a casual gamer I don't play everyday all day long ect.

I got this game about a month ago as I was looking for a zombie game to play on wii.It is alot of fun sometimes it does get fustraiting and the zombie parrots and poodles are majorly annoying. You have to go through a mall saving people and fighting zombies as well as bosses. There are several chapters in the game about 7 I think. Zombies are easy to kill but they will come back to life also even if you do head shots they will regenerate but sometimes not a bad thing as you get points for the more zombies you kill and you also get things like books ect. and money as well as leveling up. The graphic's are good it does get repetative sometimes like repeatedly going back and forth through the mall in certain areas not a bad thing really but sometimes gets boring. it does start out easy but does get hard as you go through the game. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who has a wii.

the wii version of dead rising is better because it is easier than the Xbox version since the enemy gets killed quite quickly however you can do more in the 360 version. i finished this game very quickly but it is fun and i did enjoy it but if you are into zombie mashing get Dead Rising 2 or Zombie Island if you haven't gotten it already its really great.

Failed recreation of a master piece

As we all know, the original Dead Rising was an amazing game. It had story and game play mechanics the likes of which had not been seen before. So when Nintendo and Capcom decided to remake it on the wii as a way to make more money, things went sour. First off, they changed the 3 day timer, so instead of you being at the mercy of time, it now contoured to you, so you pretty much get as much time as you want. This removes the urgent feeling of getting to each scoop before it expires. Also, they removed the ability to take pictures, which was one of the best parts of the original. And if you used one of the many guns that you buy in the game, you will notice a simularity between the game and Resident Evil 4: Wii edition. They recycled the engine from that game and placed it in Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop, but Dead Rising isn't suppose to be a shooting game, it is a hack'n'slash. I could go into more detail, but I think I've said enough. Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop is, bottom line, a a horrible rehash of a master piece.

Terrible ending for a good game

This game gave me the "zombie bug" but it didn't keep me on for long. TThe agme had the same zombies as most games: useless, due to their slowness and being dumb as usual. Also they are affected by injuries to the bodies, whic in real life, they wouldn't care at all. However, the story was kind of interesting because (SPOILER ALERT) it has to do with the government and they are really terrible at cleaning up their messes. I liked this game even though it had many flaws to the gameplay and being unrealistic.

Lately I have been on zombie crack, with the "zombie apocalypse" in Miami and Black Ops zombies I'm having a blast. I played this game a while back at a friends house and had fun. Finally I picked it up at Gamestop and popped it in the Wii and played it for three hours straight! The story line is amazing, the only con is that the game is missing about half the cut scenes. Overall its worth the money, I think any casual-hardcore gamer would love it.
