Just Awful, Don't Buy This

I don't know what else to say about this game that hasn't been said already. Honestly, we got this game because we thought it would be a fun family game that multiple people can play, but we couldn't have been more mistaken. Yes, it's a game multiple people can play, but this is not one I would ever recommend. First off, with customizing your character's profile, it's below par in that respect. You have limited options on that front, but that's not the biggest issue I have with the game. While you play the game it will be like the game show if you've ever seen the game before. If you haven't seen the show, this is how it goes. Essentially your character is asked a variety of questions from 1st grade to 5th grade, with questions from 5th grade being the hardest. (To be rather honest I don't remember ever learning any of what they cover on the show in any of my 1st through 5th grade classes, and admittedly they do explain the answer a little even if you get the question right, but when we got the game we hoped we might learn something new and we were horribly wrong about that, mainly because no one wants to play the game) My personal least favorite thing about this game and my main reason that no one wants to play it are the comments the characters make after they find out if they got the question correct or not. If you get the correct answer, you get the usual celebratory commentary. However, if you get it wrong, your character will make negative comments, including, and I quote, "Ugh! I can't believe what a moron I am!" There goes the old self esteem train down the tracks. So, taking a look at the big picture of the game, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. We don't ever play it anymore because it is honestly no fun to play. Because of the comments it makes losing the game or answering a question wrong is so negative that it makes it very hard to lose graciously or even feel happy during the game, like, "Aw man! I'll get it next time!" It takes away the element of fun in this game, not that the element of fun can be found in this game! Not even with customizing your character, unless you just try to make them look extremely ridiculous, but that's not even fun! Long story short, save your money. Do not buy this game and look elsewhere. Sorry for the essay length review, but I hope this helped.

We love the game show and bought the game as a family game to do together. All of the characters you can create look the same with some very minor changes you can make such as shirt color, but no real differences. Not a big deal, so we continued. Took a few tries to figure out how to play with 2 remotes, and discovered that when you play with two remotes the taunts feature doesn't seem to work. We quickly discovered that there are some real errors in the facts department of this game. Some of the spelling questions are down right wrong. The "correct" spelling of some of the words aren't even in the dictionary. Other "facts" are also incorrect leading to us flunking out of school when we were actually right! Rather frustrating for our children and us as well. Jeff Foxworthy's comments were cute the first few games, but quickly became annoying and you could't skip through them either. All in all this is an okay game if you plan to play at parties or on occasion, but not a good idea for frequent family game night play.
