Product Description

When Wario sees a television series about a thieving master of disguises, he dives through the TV screen, steals the theif's quick-change wand and takes over the whole show. Episode after episode, he breaks into exotic locations, like a luxury liner, watery ruins and an Egyptian pyramid!

  • Draw Wario's eight disguises: By sketching a symbol on Wario, the player puts Wario in outfits that give him powers, such as Theif Wario's tackles and Cosmic Wario's laster blasts. The player also uses the stylus to wield powers.
  • Explore enviornments: Wario travels the globe in ten missions that span nine exotic locations. The player must attack many enemies found in each location and also use Wario's disguises to get past puzzling obstacles.
  • Play mini-games to unlock chests: To pick the lock of each chest, the player must play one of eight stylus-driven mini-games that grow more difficult as the game progresses.

Solid puzzle platform but less of a Wario game

A decent platform for the DS with some compromises. The platforming feels subdued, its more of a mix between Warioland and WarioWare than a standalone Wario platformer. If you have lost your DS stylus, get one. Its almost required to make this game fun.

Nice game... I know most people HATE THIS GAME.... but in my opinion it is actually very nice.... Are you bad at using the stylis? You might not like this at first... of course I was annoyed in the begining because of the difficulty to draw shapes... however if you PRACTICE you can actually learn to love this game very greatly.... I know I did.... this had me occupied for a long time... after I beat it, I went back to look for treasure.... The music is kinda goofy... I like it.... it also includes hillarious treasures... the most random ones you could think of.... weird ones too.. when you get one just go into your treasure catalog and click on it and read its description some are hillarious.... get weird treasures including: Tiger Underwear of Doom, Weighless Backpack, and many others... Give this game some time... you might learn to like it..... have fun....

What happened Warioland 4 on the Game boy Advance was great! But this game is to hard, confusing, annoying, and boring. Don't get this game. If you are feeling like a Wario game and hace a game boy advance or wii, drop this one and pick up Warioland 4 (for Game boy Advance) or smooth moves (For Wii).

I didn't really like this game. I first played it and saw it looked bad. Handheld versions are sometimes below standard, but this one wasn't close to good. I played longer and my opinion didn't change. Do yourself a favor, don't buy this.

AThe big win for this game is that it considers lefties, like me, since it uses the touch screen. the big flop is that, sometimes when you draw something to chasnge your disguise, the game will misread it or not read it at all.

Wario Master of Disguise is one of the few games out there where the main screen is the bottom screen, which makes it a little bit confusing for some gamers who would play this game. The game fetures Wario as 'the purple wind', a character who loves treasure more than anything else. The way you play the game is very strange where you touch the screen and move at the same time. All and all, this is not a very good game, although some of the levels involve thinking and logic to get past which gives the game a reason to play.

The game is about Wario who somehow invents a machine that allows him to enter a TV show. How he could have invented that, I have no idea. He doesn't exactly look like a genius. But I digress. Wario enters a show about a thief that uses a wand, and steals it from him... The hero, or anti-hero actually, is not likeable at all. I hate Wario... Anyways, after exploring maps, you can find chests that can only open after you play a short, unentertaining minigame. The minigames are randomly chosen. There aren't alot of them so you'll have to play them repeatedly throughout the game. Inside the chests you can find gems that give you different disguises, each with its own ability. The main game consists of Wario running around a map for 20minutes jumping around, defeating monsters, and looking for treasure chests. I got bored during the first stage... The game sounded great but the execution was poor. It could have been a good game.

Wario has finally come back to his platforming roots since Wario Land 4...or has he? I can totally appreciate what developer Suzak was trying to accomplish here but the results werent too great, its more subpar than anything (to me anyway). In actuality I would classify Wario Master of Disguise as more of a puzzler than platformer. The point of the game is to get all of the treasures within the levels but you can only get to certain treasures with certain costumes. Its kind of like Metroid to be honest (though nowhere in the same leauge in terms of gameplay). You change Wario into his different costumes by drawing a certain symbol on his head or stomach. The problem with this is that ALOT of times the game wont recognize the symbol drawn and give you the wrong costume. This happens pretty frequently but after a while you do seem to get the hang of it (or a better term would be GET used to it). Graphics are pretty poor. The game just looks really weird, and after playing the Wario Lands games it seems (to me anyway) that the graphical style doesnt suit the game at all. Uninspired would be a good word to describe them. Controls are, again, wonky as alot of times the game recognize the symbol you draw and give you a different costume. Music and sound effects are also pretty subpar with no specific theme worth remembering. Gameplay wise its just OK. Nothing great but nothing really that bad, its just...decent. If your a hardcore Wario fan then you may be kind of dissapointed with this release. I enjoyed it to a certain small degree, but its not anything that I'll find myself playing again.
