did activision slack off?
i got this game when i first got my nds, and now that i recall playing this, the gameplay just doesn't feel right because its no where as good as smash bros. brawl., the sound gets tedious and repetitive, with the constant character noises and all, and you'd fell like there is no actuall good music. just character groans. and i was dissapointed over the fact that in order to get some alternate costumes, you have to insert the gba version of this game because it's not that my mom wouldn't let me get that version, but because 1. i'm not really a sort of guy who wants to get two versions of the same game on different consoles. 2. why not just make those alternate costumes unlockable in story mode. 3. they don't sell the gba version anymore. and speaking of story mode, it's not even what you'd call story mode! i mean, the story got old, boring, and hard to understand just WHAT THE HECK"S GOING ON! the gameplay battle system did remind me of a certain figthing game that sucks as well. the graphics aren't so hot either. graphics... uh... all i can say about graphics is that they look like nes graphics that were colored in. overall, this is the sort of game that 5 year olds would understand (yes, i know that it's rated E10).

Great story line but very repetitive
The story line and the sound are really good. I found the game too repetitive and has a bit of cartoon violence, which i didn't know, since it did not say it on the case. I got it for my daughter, she is four, and she was bored after an hour of playing it. The only thing that she like was the stories, but that meant that i had to be with her to read it. The sound is great, animated and fun. The graphics are good, just not entertaining enough. I don't understand why Shrek and his friends are fighting against each other. My daughter was upset that he was fighting his friends. The other thing is that during the game, you can pick up weapons and things that help you win the fight, but it does not tell u how to use it, or how to get it into the player's hands.
