That's right, I bought this game as my third one after SMT: Overclocked and SMT: 2. Son of a Gun, this game is freakin' hard, and I'm only 7 hours in. Hardcore and frustrating to the extreme. You have to "NEGOTIATE" to get most if not all of your demons. And by George, they make you work for it; your tongue better be made of syrup and your prospects good, 'cause it is literally dealing a deck with demons and gambling, so to speak. It's related to dungeon crawler play, which I'm not a fan of, but in some ways reminds me of Metroid with the computer giving me missions to fulfill in an "alien" (Read: DEMON) filled sub-universe in Antarctica. Pretty darn good story line and the music is enchanting if not a tad creepy and patronizing at times. (Yes, I know I'm about to get my butt handed to me in this game, thank-you Mr. Composer.) Obviously, for a 2009 DS game, the graphics are rather crummy and 'sprite-y', but it doesn't detract from the game's value. Overall in so far, a marvelous pick up for $12.00 and I still haven't scratched the surface of it. Team Leader Daemon Spade (my chosen character name) signing off.
