Look, I was full behind the original creator of Puzzle Quest, great game, but this one, by the same man, leaves much to be desired. The instructions are very poorly written so as to be nearly not at all understandable and that's just for starters. The battle which is at the center of this game was designed to be just slightly different from 'Puzzle Quest Battle of the Warlords' but to expand on that concept, well he missed by a mile. The interface is almost impossible to even understand and I play Fire Emblem regularly, which is one of the most difficult (as far as complexity is concerned) games for the DS, so I know from whence I speak. This game s design is so convoluted to be almost totally unplayable even it you wanted to bear through a poor game anyway. The controls are almost totally snarfed as well. This pains me to say at all... but. To comprehend where to go from one screen to another, even with screen help in the form of on screen informational aids AND tutorials, you'll need to be the game creator himself. Assuming you figure out which screen takes you into battle; the battle concept; well you would do better tossing a coin, two headed, and you wouldn't know which two heads are duplicated... understand so far? The box art is the best art in this game at all as well.. The game looks NOTHING like what they were shooting for... Look without going further, and damaging this good mans efforts, do youself a favor, forgive him early and wait and find out if ANYONE actually writes a decent reveiw about this game (besides me) THEN AND ONLY THEN, take your chances and be warned that... I told you so... pass on this and you can sleep well at night.... wait for the next great game advertised / promised, cause this one IS MOST DEFINATELY NOT IT. Sorry.
