Product Description

Helping Pokémon Get Out of a Pinch The third installment in the action-packed Pokémon Ranger™ series lets players take on the role of a Pokémon Ranger tasked with protecting Pokémon, people and nature in the Oblivia region. As a Pokémon Ranger, players investigate the nefarious actions of the Pokémon Pinchers, who have been disrupting the peace by chasing and catching Pokémon.
  • As a Pokémon Ranger, players set out to stop the Pokémon Pinchers with the help of their partner, Ukulele Pichu™ (an energetic Pichu that always carries a ukulele).
  • Players use the Capture Styler to circle Pokémon on the touch screen. The further in the story players progress, the more powers and abilities their Capture Styler gains.
  • By drawing special Ranger Signs on the touch screen, players can summon powerful Pokémon that they have befriended to help them progress in the game. Legendary Pokémon like Raikou™, Entei™ and Suicune™ can be summoned by drawing their Ranger Signs.
  • Up to four players can play together on certain missions using the Nintendo DS Local Wireless Connection, and discover more about the history of the Oblivia region.

Q: Is the Manaphy egg still in the game or was it already taken out by previous owners?

Nickel357 5 months ago
Best Answer :

The egg event only occurred for a short time after the game was released. It is possible of course to find a preowned game where they got the event and didn't complete it(I found the manaphy and shaymin event that way.) But it's super unlikely since most of these games are over a decade old.

Q: Hello gamestop, i would like to buy some pokemon ds games (platinum, mystery dungeon, ranger) like this, but I don´t know if only the game comes or also its case. Please answer me to know if I buy it

Best Answer :

Considering that it is extremely difficult to find those games in new condition I doubt that it would have the original case. The games would still come with one but it would not be specific to the game.

I... hate this game. It takes hours to get past the worst dialogue I've ever seen from Nintendo. Most of the time I'm just mashing the A button going LET ME PLAY THE GAME because you basically just sit there reading paragraphs of nothingness instead of getting to play it. And the actual gameplay is just... drawing circles. I hate it. Making it a pokemon game is the only thing that makes people waste money on it

Love the Pokemon ranger games. It's a nice twist to the regular Pokemon games. I've played all the ranger games in the past and wanted to play this one again.

Excellent but dialog isn't

Arguably the best Pokemon Ranger game. The story, the map, pokemon selection, the sign insignia's, the enemy are all excellently thought out and placed into this charming game. The only drag (which is quite a major drag) is the groan-able dialog, it's so stretched out and at most times unnecessary and dry. I wouldn't have that big of a problem with the dialog if it wasn't everywhere, everything you do pertaining to the main story line is just paragraphs of (in my opinion) unnecessarily long dialog. Beyond that, amazing game

It's an amazing experience riding atop a legendary Pokemon, experiencing it all with a cute Pichu by your side is just a bonus. This game was stolen from me years ago, seeing the title sscreen gave me memories of a better time.

Pokémon Ranger?

My sister received this game with her Dsi xl because she did not enjoy it. She found it to be boring and lost interest after 20 minutes. She also said that this game had too many dialogue scenes and, as a 7 year old, was not interested.

I haven't finished the game, but it's living up to my expectations based on my experiences with past ranger games. I do enjoy it. A little too many cutscenes, but overall nice

It is an awesome addition to the franchise. Wish Pokemon Company will still make Pokemon games for 3ds in the future.

Everything Before, Now Better

As the third iteration of these games. Guardian Signs is a game that really takes everything from the original and Shadows of Almia and does them better. With (mostly) optional tutorials for the veteran players, and the new feature of Ranger Signs, smoother and faster animations, an engaging story that's just as good as the ones from the previous games -- overall, this little spin-off series is probably one of the best that I've ever played.
