  • Players with a wireless broadband connection can interact with their friends who have either the Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver Version game to trade or battle Pokémon via the Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection service. Players can also battle and trade with others via a local wireless connection.*
  • An internal clock keeps track of the time of day and the day of the week. Some special events will only happen on certain days or at certain times of day.

*As of May 20, 2014, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service for Nintendo DSi and Wii systems has been retired. Online features of this game are no longer available after this date but this game still provides an entertaining experience in offline mode.

It is pixellated as it is an olllld game, being nearly 9 years old. Don't let that discourage you, however, as HGSS are the games with probably the most content in one pokemon game. For that reason, it easily ranks as favorites among many pokemon players.

Almost all the time, DS games from Gamestop have some slight, minimal physical wear on the game's cartridge. However, the gameplay of these used DS games still function to a high caliber, as theses games are well taken care of. Most Gamestop stores and online stores can also give you a reasonable return policy if games don't function as well. On my case my purchase, Pokemon HeartGold, it works perfectly even if i did just obtain the game's cartridge by itself with some good packing materials in order to protect the game(s) in a good condition when it goes through shipping.

Q: I love Pokémon and have been playing it for thirteen years ( 20 year old female) but I have an issue, my game won’t connect to WiFi but my 3DS is connected. Can anyone give me some insight?

To answer your question the wifi service that the generation 4 and 5 Pokemon games as well as all ds and Wii games ran on has been shutdown since May 20 2014 there fore no Ds or Wii games cannot connect to WiFi for online play for the now foreseeable future

    I revived a fake copy of this game, but it seemed to work just fine for a fake, but I would still be careful for fakes because some of them don’t work at all. As for my fake, it reads well, works well, and plays well.

    The game came in with its original case and its original booklets. It was authentic too! Even though it says game only, don’t be surprised if you get one with a case and pokewalker!

    The game has a solid coloured cartridge with no infrared sensor visible on the top with the Nintendo seal having a white border outline and the numbers do not match from label to back print with a blur on the cartridge label. This is the 3rd item ordered online that started shipping from Texas that has either been broken or fake.
