Product Description

And you thought their last adventure was insane? In this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the brothers travel back in time to retrieve Princess Peach, only to come face to face with baby versions of themselves, the princess and Bowser. Teaming up with their young selves will soon send Mario and Luigi on a quest of lunatic proportions as players must control both the adult AND baby versions of the Mushroom Kingdom heroes. Players use the top screen to study the land, keep track of the pair of brothers not under their control or maximize combo moves in battle. With twice the Mario brothers and twice the laughs, this massive side-splitting adventure could only find a home on the dual screens of the Nintendo DS.

* Double trouble! In this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Mario bros. team up with their young selves on a quest of lunatic proportions. Control both sets of bros. as you explore the very fabric of time and take on an evil alien entity known as the Shroobs.

* Duke it out with crazy foes using the celebrated fast-action battle system unique to Mario & Luigi games. Dodge enemy attacks individually then use items like the Trampoline and Cannonballer to team up all four bros. for super moves!

* The second screen will quickly become your best friend as you use it to study the land, keep track of the pair of bros. not under your control, and even maximize combo moves in battle.

COUNTERFEIT GAME

The used game I received is counterfeit. It doesn't work in my 3DS. The cartridge has a a slight bump in the middle and the serial number on the front image and the back of the cartridge don't match.

While this along with Mario & Luigi Paper Jam are not the best Mario & Luigi games in the franchise by many fans tho in my opinion I think they are just as good as the others and are the best in their own ways. That said, though dealing with the babies obnoxious crying (Baby Peach and Baby Luigi being the worst offenders by this) where it gets annoying, some of the maps are more linear than the previous M&L game, no bros. attacks and you have to use bros. items to perform them instead and have to buy them from the shop, and the babies can only use the hammers instead of the adults are some of the flaws of this game. However the game has it good qualities too, such as the gameplay and story and characters being comical and speaking of the story, it’s actually dark because of the antagonists called the Shroobs invading the Mushroom Kingdom in the past and doing dark things to the Toads and others, E Gadd having a bigger support role in the story and talking suitcase named Stuffwell being less obnoxious and less annoying than Starlow (the one from M&L BiS and the later games tho she is also useful and redeemable) as well as proving gadgets and sync well with E. Gadd at one point. It is one of the Mario & Luigi games along with BiS and PJ that I enjoyed the most and one of my fav Mario games overall. If y’all want to get an RPG game just for nostalgia or for some time travel wackiness and get dark, this game is just for you.

This game was just as fun as I remember playing it 10 years ago. I can't believe it didn't get a remake version like Superstar Saga or Bowsers Inside Story.

Probably the hardest of the 3 Mario & Luigi Games

This is the second in the line of the M&L games and arguably the hardest. I had a much easier time with Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story. The controls are the most complicated (there was a lot of emphasis on "hey we have 4 face buttons now, let's use them all!" - which somewhat got ported to Bowser's Inside Story, but not really.) The Bros. Items combos are the most complicated of the three games. A X B X A X B X anyone? But the game is fun, there's lots of good humor and the baby noise isn't anywhere near as bad as Yoshi's Island.

I missed this game way back when it came out so I went out of my way to find it and buy it and I AM SO HAPPY! It's similar enough to the first one that it feels familiar, but some of the mechanics are different enough to keep it fresh and challenging in it's own way. I am loving it and cannot wait to experience it until the end! Definitely would recommend it to anyone who shows even a small amount of interest.

I read that this was one of the top 20 games for the DS, and I have not been disappointed. The game is super cute, with a fun story, lots of puzzles, and constantly changing battle options. I think it is challenging and very entertaining!

Broken Game

I don’t think they check these games, when they purchase them. The game had the wrong backing of case, it did not work. GameStop claimed my 3ds was the problem. I told them to try any game in it. Every game they tried worked in my 3ds. They refused to try it in the stores 3ds. They are shady and you should always bring your system to try the game in store.
